There is a question in voting asking what is Mexico's independence day. Yahoo voters are choosing 5 de Mayo rather than the correct 16th of September. Does that make it so? Will Mexico have to change its independence day to 5 de Mayo since Yahoo answerers say it is so? All I can say is "que verguenza!"

Mine was a tie: between sitting on the beach in Alabama, they did the fireworks off a barge in the gulf, and the other, a bunch of friends went camping up Black Water River in Milton Fl. the nighe of the fireworks we all got in the boats went down river to a spot where we knew we would be able to see and tied the boats together, some sat in the boats, some of us swam during the fireworks, it was great.

Hey guys, I'm from Illinois but I have a second home in Michigan, and I'm planning to spend the 4th of July there, and I was wondering how much fireworks in Indiana usually cost, as I drive through Indiana to get to Michigan. I have a fireworks budget of about $25, as I also have to pay for food and beer. Is there any way to purchase a good assortment for that much money?

I saw a program on tv last night saying America is divided and becoming more divided. I hear of many people going on picnics and watching fireworks, but I have heard very little on the deeper meaning to the individual that July 4th means. Is it just a long weekend to you, or do you feel a deeper more meaningful connection? Do you think the way you look at July 4th is part of the problem with Americas current political and philisophical divide amongst its citizens?

My hometown had excellent ones. Los Angeles doesn't have a big civic fireworks display...but it's not in the United States anyway.

My company sucks...I had to work January 2nd, and now July 3rd, and I'll be here on the day after Thanksgiving too. It's a large Insurance Company...and everyone's going to assume we are closed. What the heck?!
