Happy Birthday, AMERICA!!!!! YAY!!!!!!

Should we have a special salute to the taxpayers who make it all possible? Especially the John & Jane Does who struggle with their daily lives while supporting our great nation.

As a veteran (Vietnam era), I would like to thank all those who stay behind and support our efforts without the glory. Isn't paying the bills is just as important as fighting the wars?

And no one gets a medal for paying the bills.

In darkness or in light, we are all in this together and don't we have much to be proud of and much to be thankful for?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA!!!! YAY!!!!

Okay, when I went to bed, I had a long, hard day and was ready to go to sleep. I have a busy mind, so it's hard to go to sleep sometimes. And just when I'm about out of it...........bang-bang bang!! Blue purple yellow lights fill up the air. Stupid neighbors!! It's not even the fourth yet!! Let people get some sleep!! I know that there are also two babies, too. WHY? Why do people do that? Why not go out of town, out of the neighborhood, and onto a country road? Or wait till it's actually time?!

A question to anyone out there who has attended this event in the past, what's the best spot to see the show and get clear photographs of the event - ie, clear of people in front of you and upwind from the fireworks. Are there locations other than the port itself that would work well for photos?
