Of course we have a '4th July' just the same as every date in the calendar. However we do not celebrate this day like the US. Why would we want to celebarate giving American its independence? - its just another day to us!

Your question is either stupid or obnoxious either way it stinks! ANd if you're the kind the person that is America then we're glad you're no longer part of the crown!

No, I don't think so, because when I looked it up it didn't say anything about the English celebrating 4th of July, just America.

They have something similar on the 5th of November called Guy Fawks Day in which they celebrate the descent of the people against the government. You should watch V for Vendetta when it comes out as it provides an interesting story as well as some minimal history about the day.

Everyone in the world has a 4th of July, but not an Independence Day like the U.S. does.

November 5th is Guy Fawkes' Night, with fireworks to commemorate King James surviving a plot by Guy Fawkes to blow up the Houses of Parliment.......... so I guess that counts.

Funny and true story. My husbands family is British. Every year my mom sends 4th of July e-cards to the whole family (including his). Every year we get back a response, "What is 4th of July?" Every year we respond, Independence Day. Usually, his mum says, "OH, you mean that war where you sillies killed British soldiers coz you didn't like playing by our rules? Oh, ok, Happy 4th."

yes they do...it's between the 3rd and the 5th.
They don't celebrate America's Independence Day if that's what your asking. Why the hell would they? They don't celebrate Canada's Independence Day (July 1st) either.

I guess because we have a crude sense of irony our version of your 4th of july is 5th november, the day that parliment was ALMOST destroyed.
