Of course it has. John Adams basically said it would be the great anniversary festival with fireworks and bonn fires and speeches and patriotic music. Now it is a time to drink, be dangerous with fireworks, and have politicians strut about like run way models.

I think to some people the fourth of July is nothing but a reason to get off work, get drunk, and blow stuff up , but there a re some people who genuinely care about independence day.

In some ways sure, but that is just time passing by. Nowadays Americans KNOW that it is the celebration of our country, our freedom, and in a way, a big "thank you" to those who made (and still make it) possible (our forefathers, our troops, etc)

Happy Independance Day America!

The meaning is only lost to losers and to those who migrate here with the intentions to spit on the American Flag and to disrespect the words of the "Star Spangle Banner".

American Proud here!
