My 12 yr old has to make a medieval costume for his history class. He wants to be Richard the Lionheart either as the king or the crusader. We don't know where to begin as far as materials, fake chainmail, etc. Has anyone ever made a costume like this and how hard was it? What types of fabric/materials were used? I need it to be simple.

I lost a bet with a friend and as a result I now have to dress like Frankenfurter for Halloween from the Rocky Horror Picture show. Since the terms of the bet were not set, there is some debate as to what I actually have to do to fulfill the bet. I told him that since he didn't specify what I had to wear that I could just wear the smock and rubber gloves outfit and be done with it. He says that I have to wear a garter, corset, heels, & fishnets and shave my legs and chest. We are leaving it up to the majority to decide.

it seems like at haloween, it just becomes anight for girls to be as slutty and skanky as possible. why dont girls wear funny costumes? like dudes. guys always have funny costumes. one year my buddy went as a couch potato. he took an old chair and made fake legs and dressed like a potato..
but girls always hafta be half naked, and I live in central Canada. There is usually snow on haloween! anyways :) not sure what the question is but write away.

Do you think that Holly hates Kendra? I've thought this for sometime because Hollys getting older and Kendra's the youngest. Holly complains about Kendra being scatter brained and late for everything. I really need some unique and original ideas on what to be on Halloween '07. I want a costume that will really stand out in a crowd. Also, it should be appropriate for a 13 year old girl to wear.
