I give uncostumed teenagers the junky, "filler" candy left over from the year before, simply because I don't want my car scratched or a brick through my window. :)

Yes, I would, not that many people don't wear costumes so it isn't that much of an issue. And for a young kid especially, not giving candy would just be cruel.

I would, not everyone either has the money to buy a costume or has the creativeness to make one. To the less fortunate children why punish them for not having a costume...give them candy and let them enjoy trick or treating.

Yes I do, and I also give candy to the people who are out waiting in the car for them and to take home to thier parents and for older brothers and sisters and I even go out to the cop car on the street who are there to protect the trick-or-treaters and give the officers candy too. i always buy way too much and don't want it around after the holiday so I make sure that I give it all away.

Yeah, why be evil and not give them any? You're just parting with two or three little chocolates. I think its stupid that some people can't just give a little candy to someone without a costume. Selfish people!

My 15 yr old son and I were having this dicussion the other day. I normally don't especially with the older kids but...if they are willing to walk up the driveway to my front door (we live on a decent hill) then I'll give them the candy

Yes, I'll give it to them if they look like they are under 10, but I do make a point of asking why they are not dressed up. I also give candy to the parent if they take the time to dress up to take their kids around.

Yes but I lecture them on the fine arts of costuming and show them all my crazy decorations and try to inspire the Halloween in them.

Yes, but not as much as the people in costume. And I ask them "where's your costume?" and see what they say. I've heard some pretty creative responses.

No....even if they are in a group.....costume = candy. No costume no candy. I've even had parents cuss me out for doing it. Not my fault their kid is too fat to fit in anything but a bed sheet. Stop feeding him....CANDY!!
