Try going to a museum with an Egyptian exhibit and look for an employee that likes to craft and stuff. He/she might be able to help you make your costume.

Egyptian costumes are very simple. They are mostly just togas with accessories. The headband, the wide bands of jewels at the neck. In fact, many stores have spring/summer dresses that are Grecian inspired. I know I saw one at Walmart and Target.

Check out Egyptian art for an idea of the gold accessories. Or do a Yahoo image search for Cleopatra. But as for what the non-royals were wearing, it would have been the same as the greeks. white robes, sandals. For the headband, go to the mall/walmart and buy a headband and make the snake decorations for the front, or buy a necklace and glue the pendant to the headband.

I didn't notice if your avator was male or female but if you are female, lots of eyeliner, black hair wig. Most costume stores sell an egyptian costume but they are way overpriced for just a toga and a headband.

A real simple matter if you are a Stargate SG-1 fan and are familiar with Goa'uld wear. Both ask.com and Google offer a wealth of information and pictures, and of course your local musuem and library are laden with examples.

This site gives you instructions for making one for a child. It would be easy to adjust it to your larger size.
