I am going to a masquerade ball and have never been to one before. I want to go all out for my outfit. And I dont want just a costume from a costume shop. Can you specify websites that have good masks, and another with clothing items, ect...

Also what exactly is a masquerade ball?
What are my apparrel options and such.

Please be detailed! My only experience with a masquerade ball is from reading Edgar Allen Poe... lol

Alright, I know Halloween is forever away... but why not get an early start!!! alright, so I have this tradition thing going on where I've been a johnny Depp character for Halloween every year (Jack Sparrow last year, Willy Wonka the year before, etc etc....) and I guess Edward Scissorhands is next!! And I'm drawing blanks on how to do it.... My friend said to but on leather and wrap a ton of black belts around me, but I'm worried that'd look stupid! Also, I can't really have scissor hands cuz my school has the policy about not bringing weapons and all that jazz.... so maybe plastic Freddy Cruger hands????? i don't know........................ so if you've ever done an Edward Scissorhands costume, or have a good idea in the back of your head, please do not hesitate to respond!!!!! thanks!!!!!

okay, so.. this is a sports' day theme for my class..
- what did u wanna be when u were a kid- (like 5 or 6 yrs of age)..

I was thinking.. "princess".. "snow white".. "cop".. & I really dun wanna have to rent a costume.. I wud look silly running laps in a dress... seriously.. ^^"

I need to ask a kid this, but everyone I know is pretty much my age...

any ideas?? suggestions? memories maybe... hehe... ... I'll take pretty much anything.. plzzz... ^-*

I'm curious as to what degree it's celebrated there- esp. in the more southern non-traditional areas. I'm an American and was surprised to find that many British don't celebrate it and even consider it American. Ironically, in the U.S. it's viewed as British since it's based on ancient British type culture (sort of like the Celts, Druids, Stonehenge, etc.). I've also heard some don't like it because of petty vandalism that increases then and others have problems because it's too close to Guy Fawkes day and that's more British. Just curious though, no judgements.

I would think ten or so people dress like the kkk, gliding down the street holding up kkk signs. I dont have the same beliefs as the kkk. im totally non rascist. but it would be hilarious as **** to see someone get their tail kicked for it.

Every year, all the departments at my job choose a group theme for Halloween and this year, as the newbie, I want to impress my department with a dazzling theme idea/contribution. Last year they did Willy Wonka and won first prize. We have about 20-25 in my department. Does anyone have any ideas????
