Halloween, my favorite holiday. Actually it has a lot of pagan beginnings, but as it stands in todays light of culture, it is no more than a day to enjoy getting dressed up, eating candy and having fun. Jamie lee curtis probably doesn't hate the date, it's just a character in a movie, try and remember movies are not reality. If you are getting the two mixed up I suggest you read a fw more books and stop watching TV.

It is a chore. I make deal with my kids, if we don;t have to go trick or treating, then i will buy them a bag of (their choice) candy. save me the chore of costumes and save on gas. We live 25 miles from the nearest town

I am neither afraid nor very worked up over it. Fun, yes, but can not be taken too seriously, and certainly I would not spend too much time planning festivities.
