I turn used christmas cards into christmas postcards. I would tear/cut off the front of the used card with the beautiful picture on it and trim it, if needed and go on the backside (where it's usually blank) and draw a divided line where you put the addresses on the right and your message on the left. That's it!
Usually, the front of the christmas cards that you turn into postcards, are mostly larger than your average postcard and you'd have to pay the standard "first class mail letter rate". It does not matter how heavy it or how large it is, the first class rate does not fluctuate, unlike using envelopes. But you may get lucky and pay the postcard rate if your christmas postcard is small enough. But hey! at least recycling your old christmas cards and making into postcards sure beats buying new envelopes for them and licking them and you save trees this way!

As I'm working on a project to help people understand what it takes to be a good gift giver, I like to have examples of really bad gifts, as many of them are quite funny. If you visit www.WhatNotToGive.com, you can see examples. Obviously, Christmas and Hannukah gifts are most of the entries, but I do not want to limit you to that. Thanks for sharing. You might even win a prize (see WhatNotToGive.com for details.)

Just wondering if you have special things that are very different from U.S. during Christmas and New Year, if so, please explain.

Lol...yes, I know you don't throw shrimps on the barbie!

Do you kiss someone at midnight on New Years? Do you make a wish for the coming year?

Do you have the evergreen trees, are they shipped in from somewhere else? How do you decorate them?

Thanks, and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Help! Christmas is coming. I have no idea what to get my husband. He's in the Navy, loves his job. He's a football fan, loves video games and movies, and war history. He's not very outgoing, loves time at home. He does not cook, clean, or do any housework. I don't want to get him movies or games but what should I get him?

I've been looking online, and I can't find any good places besides Dovewood Court. It seems like a lot of places that used to have great lights aren't doing it anymore.

Hm, alright. So my boyfriend is 18, and he's pretty much like the all around fun loving guy. He's not really into sports and stuff, so that's out of the picture. I wrote him a poem which I'm also planning to gift to him for Christmas, but I need something to go along with it. I was wondering if a cute teddy bear or something would be a bad idea. How do guys feel about getting stuffed animals?

we spend all our year teaching our children not to tell lies and then come December we bombard them with stories of Santa and his Reindeer n Elvs? Surely this is backwards?
