The music. The FOOD. The parties. Lighted trees. Kid excitement. Cold weather. Snow. The hope of an approaching new year. Long nights for long sleeps under big quilts. Wood fires. Egg nog. Fruitcake. Snow. The UPS truck pulling up the driveway. Not having to get up at 6:00 to get my son off to school. Watching old Christmas special reruns in my slippers and robe with my chihuahuas asleep on my lap by the light of the Christmas tree. Celebrating the symbolic arrival time of the Prince of peace, the Light of the world the ultimate Hope for mortal humanity... but that's just my opinion... anyway it makes me happy enough to bust...

Christmas is special here because our youngest daughter and her daughter moved back home 3 years ago. They never had a happy holiday because of the child's father. To me the thing I love most about Christmas is watching our 35 & 20 year old sons with this baby. They wake everyone up at 4 a.m. just to see this precious little girl open her presents. They look so excited to see her face light up. To me that is what Christmas is all about. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.

Pretty Christmas lights and the smell of pine trees..umm! I love to look at small children when they are excited by what is going on - their little faces just light up inside. I think snow is amazing, not that I get much here in Texas and the smell outside when people light their fireplaces is so smoky nice!
I like pumpkin pie and hot chocolate with marshmallows. Hot cider or spiced tea. Turkey sandwiches and Lasagna-my kids favorite holiday meal (the lasagna, not turkey sandwiches!) =)
I enjoy getting to see people I like who I don't see often enough, like my family and in-laws. I enjoy old Christmas Carols, Mannheim Steamroller music and Dr. Demento silly Christmas songs (Grandma got run over by a reindeer)!!!
I truly like this question; I am sitting here and having a blast and I'm just remembering cause I'm alone right now! Plus I love pretty Christmas cards that have lots of glittery colors on them, especially Currier and Ives the old-fashioned ones!!

regrettably company greed and the almighty dollar has ruined the genuine meaning of Christmas. The greed has exceeded right down to the purchasers and now it won't be Christmas anymore. If we would all give up procuring for gives you and attend a spiritual service of our determination on December twenty 5th then consistent with danger shall we get returned to what Christmas incredibly skill. Merry Christmas.

I like the the smell of pine trees and the snow, the cool dry weather, the bright colorful blinking lights, the decorations on the roofs and front porch and most of all, the cheerfulness of everyone around with the thought in mind of our loved once who used to be with us in the past! That's Christmas to me!!!

The feeling of the holidays. Seeing the snow and all the decorated houses lit up at night. I love the joys of family being together and the smells of fresh baked cookies. The holidays are all about love and giving...not getting.

Being with my friends and family and laughing. Hearing The Transiberrian Orchestra play...they have a really fantastic way of blending rock, and classical etc. together. Seeing the smiles on peoples faces, when they get out of the rush, and truly enjoy the moments at home.
