Okay, so at work, my coworkers have decided that we're going to do Secret Santas with a twist. Everyone who wants to be involved picks out a gift that would be good for ANYBODY. All boxes must be the same so no one knows who brought what. No drawing names. Apparently, last year someone forgot to bring a gift, so someone didn't get a gift....so this year, the boss decided to bring random gifts so everyone who brings a gift leaves with a gift.

So....what is a good gift around $10 that is work appropriate for male OR female, ages 16-45? That's so hard! It can be funny or serious, but no gift cards and nothing inappropriate for minors (like lottery tickets or sex/drinking stuff). If it helps, my coworkers tastes range from goth, to skater, to preppy to boring....LOL Also, no clothing b/c my coworkers range from teeny tiny to extra large.

Do you think its fair to tell lies to your child about santa being real?

What if they have emotional reaction when they find out its fake?

Should i just be honest with my kids?

What's wrong with saying Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays? It's getting very ridiculous because the holiday's are based on the birth of Jesus Christ our saviour. It's becoming very stupid because there's no commerials or anything drawing the costumers into the stores. Now, it's like a ghost town everywhere you go. What happen to the spirit of the Lord. Just because a set of people don't believe in God doesn't mean that it should be spoiled for the rest. In essence, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

It seems almost as though it is any regular week. I don't care about Christmas right now. It just seems like another holiday. I am not getting that special feeling that I used to get during Christmas. It just doesn't seem that exciting. How can I get more into the mood?

she says anythings fine, but i know her better. no bath stuff, no crap, and id rather not get her a gift card. i want to get her something really awesome for around $30. all she really wants is an ipod touch, but i cant afford that. she is also really excited because she is getting new mac. so what would be really cool, meaningful, and affordable? im desperate! :P

I've recently heard really good version to the classic Holly, Jolly Christmas. The problem is, I have no idea who sings it. All I can say is that the singer is female, has a very high pitched voice, and the instruments used have more of a "rock" sound.

Anyone hear or know what I'm talking about?

I don't really want to do a gift she probably won't need, like a coffee mug or ornament, but I would like to send some little something. Any thoughts from teachers would be especially appreciated. I was thinking about maybe a Barnes and Noble gift card, something that is usable, but is that not very personal?

I am at a loss. I don't know what to get him! He looooooves electronics but he always buys himself the new gadgets he wants. I know he's getting me a LCD tv for xmas (oops) so I can't get him one (we live together). He won't use an mp3 player. He has all sound improvements for his car done. We can't really have surround sound because our apartment is so not sound proofed it isn't even funny.. (our neighbors drive us up the wall with their surround sound and I don't want to disturb those below us.)
I am thinking of a smaller LCD TV to replace the one in the living room but I have already bought him something that was $130 along w/ a few smaller things so I don't have the budget left for the price of the smaller tv. I could swing it I guess, but then I'd have to buy the HDMI cables and dvd player to go with it.
Any ideas?! He loves electronics and basketball.. Celtics.
Thanks ahead of time!
