Brazil is in the southern hemisphere so Christmas is in summer and quite hot. Santa has to wear red silk instead of the heavy suit with fur. Instead of stockings they put their shoes out and Santa puts gifts in them. Their traditions are very similar to in the US and UK. As they are a mostly Catholic nation, there are many nativity scenes.
