My family is doing a gift exchange game and I have to get a gift that anyone in my family would not mind getting. It has to be under $25 and I don't want to do gift cards because, well its just unoriginal. I also don't want to buy a silly novelty item like you would buy in Spencer gifts or a similar store. I was thinking maybe some kind of electronic gadget such as headphones or a thumb drive, but those are too expensive. Any ideas?

Please help!

I would like to send my X-mas cards (bought a bunch at the dollar store) but with the price of stamps these days, it is a bit expensive.

I would like to send them all as COD for the stamp amount.

COD = Cash on delivery.. So basically the people that would receive the x-mas card would need to pay the 42 cents for the cost of the stamp in order to get the card. Plus, I'm not sure if I can request COD for 42 cents - especially for a stamp ... anyone know?

Do you have:

1) Turkey or Ham? Or something else?
2) Cranberry sauce?
3) Stuffing or dressing? If so, what flavor?
4) Potato salad, Shrimp salad, Macaroni or Pasta salad?
5) Casseroles? If so, what kind?
6) Mashed, scalloped or baked potatoes? Or yams?
7) What do you have for desert?
8) What kind of drinks? Pop, juice, water? Which brands?

Hope this puts everyone in the Christmas spirit!

I think it's a shame that Santa in the mall can't laugh "ho ho ho" anymore. Are we just that sensitive or is there people out there thinking of things to ban because it maybe offensive?

is this still customary? i was under the impression that it was not done anymore, because not all kids could afford to do so. it made the kids who couldn't afford to feel bad. tomorrow is my childs christmas party, should she bring one? in her last school it was private and stated not to send gifts. still learning as we go.

You have no question as to what to get them... I hate buying presents for peope that you have to ponder for hours, even days.... what will make them happy.. Gift cards are great in that situation., but if you feel that is the only option then maybe they don't deserve a gift after all..?????

I went Christmas shopping the other night. I was fully in the Christmas spirit. UNTIL....a woman almost ran me over with her cart, a man grabbed something I picked out right out of my hand, and a spoiled child stood there and screamed until her mom gave her what she wanted...Is this what Christmas has become? Has anyone else had a horrible shopping experience?
