I went Christmas shopping the other night. I was fully in the Christmas spirit. UNTIL....a woman almost ran me over with her cart, a man grabbed something I picked out right out of my hand, and a spoiled child stood there and screamed until her mom gave her what she wanted...Is this what Christmas has become? Has anyone else had a horrible shopping experience?

Oh, yes! Crazy drivers, cutting people off, trying to beat a little old lady into a parking space that she had staked out for 5 minutes, blocking aisles with carts and cars, getting in the way with a cart knowingly and willfully. And just rude.
And the store clerks are no better, rude and surly. One at the local Walmart talked so low I could hardly hear her, and it was not illness, she had just spoken to another clerk in regular voice. Gee, all you clerks out there, if you are that bored, find a job you like!
My favorite is the deliberate get in the way shoppers. They linger over a display, look at things they have no intention of buying, just so you can't. How sad to have no life of your own! One of them's husband got tired of the game she was playing, and told her to come on. She gave him this big grin, a pointed look at me, and walked away with him. Another man was so impatient when I stopped to read a package of boxed dessert mix to see what it was, he was standing so close I could hear him sigh, repeatedly. I put it back, and left, and came back, and then he came back!
Another bad one is the one's who follow another shopper around, and see what they pick up and look at, and get in the way reaching for the same thing. They have no clue what to buy, and are looking for clues.
And the screaming kids! And the kid who has discovered his voice will carry all the way to the other end of the mall, and will echo!
I t will all be over soon, two more store bought gifts, and both are gift cards, so I just have to get in line with them.
Merry Christmas!

Apparently so, I think it's best to shop online and just go Christmas shopping when you don't really need anything so you can laugh at all the stressed out people!
I had a horrible experience in Covent Garden (one of my fave places) but a stall holder hit me in the leg with his ladder and didn't apologise then some 'suit' elbowed me while putting his jacket on and barely acknowledged me! So mean!

Pity I'm not equipped with and on/off volume switch! Have a good "frog tune" free weekend Hun ;-) x

My pet peeve this time of year is bad drivers. OMG! They're in a daze and they think they're the only ones on the road. They're only thinking about where they have to go and what they have to buy.

But I shop year round and I do most of it online. That way you get good deals, you can balance your spending, and you don't have to deal with crazy people, parking issues, bad weather, etc. Plus you can shop in your jammies!

This is the reason that I do all my shopping on line. These types of experiences will kill you spirit and I will not allow it, I just pray for a cute UPS or FedEx guy to deliver my boxes..... mistletoe is a good door decoration.

Yup, starts every year right after Halloween and peaks on December 24th, then we have a brief recurrence during returns week after Christmas.

I hate Christmas shopping because of the rude, obnoxious people. Unfortunately, that's how it is pretty much everywhere now :( How sad, huh?
