I just had a party last night . We did games and it went down well.
I am also looking for games for my sons party but he has children so they have to be suitable for all. here are some:
Memory game... put about 20 items on a tray, give everyone 3 mins to remember them.. work in families or pairs to get the most for a small prize.
Jar of smarties/m&ms..guess how many there are...winner gets the sweets.
Leg guessing game...can be used with wives guess husbands/husbands guess wife/mums guess children..any combination will work. Those who are guessing go in kitchen...they come in one at a time blindfolded and have to feel the legs below the knee. Those being felt obviously have to remove socks and shoes and roll trousers up.
Items needed: wrapping paper - cut to size, tape, ribbon - long enough to tie into a bow, and a box of kleenex. Divide guests into teams of two. One person can only use their left hand and the other person their right hand. Each team wraps their present. The first team PROPERLY completed win
Another version of Pass the Parcel
Buy 3 or 4 inexpensive gifts and wrap them for your party. Someone (you!) reads the story below, reading slowly enough for the gifts to be passed. Every time the word RIGHT is read, people who have the presnts pass them to the right. Every time the word LEFT is read, pass the gift they are holding to the left. The person holding each present when the story ends keeps them.
CHRISTMAS WITH THE RIGHT FAMILY
Christmas was almost here, and Mother RIGHT was finishing the Christmas baking. Father RIGHT, Sue RIGHT, and Billy RIGHT returned from their last-minute Christmas errands.
"There is not much LEFT to be done," said Father RIGHT as he came in to the kitchen.
"Did you leave the basket of food at church?" asked Mother RIGHT. I LEFT it RIGHT where you told me to," said Father RIGHT. "I'm glad my shopping is done," said Billy RIGHT. "I don't have any money LEFT."
The hall telephone rang, and Susan RIGHT LEFT to answer it. She rushed back and told the family, "Aunt Tillie RIGHT LEFT a package for us RIGHT on Grandma RIGHT's porch. I'll go over there RIGHT away and get it," she said as she LEFT in a rush.
Father RIGHT LEFT the kitchen and brought in the Christmas tree. By the time Susan RIGHT returned, Mother RIGHT, Father RIGHT, and Billy RIGHT had begun trimming the tree. The entire RIGHT family sang carols as they finished the decorating. Then they LEFT all the presents arranged under the tree and went to bed, hoping they had selected the RIGHT gifts for their family.
Now I hope you have the RIGHT present for yourself, because that's all that's LEFT to our story................except to wish you a Merry Christmas.................isn't that RIGHT??????
(there's a lot of popups on the angelfire site below)

The old favorite. With one fewer chairs than people, a short snippet of music is played while the people move around the room. All the chairs are placed in the middle of the room or arranged in a corner, all facing back on the wall. When the music stops everyone tries to sit on a vacant chair. (Only one person per chair) The person who doesn't find a chair is 'out'. One chair is taken away and the game continues .

g-rated: pass the parcel, lucky dip, find the santa (basically massive scale hide and seek).
adult rated: pass out panda (just keep drinking until one of you hits the deck.) "i never" (the first person says "i never-" followed by something. anybody who has done this has to take a swig from their drinks. really funny if your with a very "experienced" person.) circle of death. (take a deck (or two) of standard playing cards and assemble them in a loose circle, face down, around a large pitcher or bowl, which you procede to fill with any drinks you have lying around. next you have to be creative: you have to assemble a list of what each card represents e.g. if you pick uf a ten of any sort then one of you has to run around the back yard butt-naked. but the joker cards will always mean that someone has to drink from the alcoholic stuff in the middle. basically a really complicated version of truth or dare.)
what? i have experience in these matters...dont ask...

Do a white elephant gift exchange. Make sure they are only inexpensive gifts you have around the house. It's a blast to see what people will wrap up.
