My family is doing a gift exchange game and I have to get a gift that anyone in my family would not mind getting. It has to be under $25 and I don't want to do gift cards because, well its just unoriginal. I also don't want to buy a silly novelty item like you would buy in Spencer gifts or a similar store. I was thinking maybe some kind of electronic gadget such as headphones or a thumb drive, but those are too expensive. Any ideas?

Please help!

Do some scratch off lottery tickets that equal $25. I gave each of the two people that I got christmas gifts for 2: a $1 and a $2.

We do silly gifts for our games, and ours are $5 and under. But one of the gifts I did was an organic chocolate bar and another one was a novelty beer flavor.

Maybe a gift basket with a gift card to Blockbuster, some popcorn, and some candy?

MP3's are like $25, maybe a DVD shelf, a bunch of movies (walmart has bis of $5 movies and Target just had a bunch of movies on sale for $5 too), board games like Cranium or handheld games like poker, Yahtzee, Simon or 20Q
gift cards to restaurants are always nice- you can do $5 to places like McDonalds Wendy's stuff like that and get some kind of container from each place like a drink cup or fry holder and put the gift card in there and wrap them up seperatly

If most people in your family are social drinkers....maybe some nice wine glasses or shot glasses would be great. Also if you all have the same last name... personalized items like towels, tote bags, etc with the last name would be cute. Robes are always nice. You could also make a cute gift basket with different teas, different coffees, a mug..etc...Those are just my suggestions..

How about as many rechargable AA batteries as you can get for $25? It sounds boring, but they're useful in all kinds of stuff we get around Christmas.

A pair of movie tickets could work out well, depending on your family.

food items are a gift that are fairly easy to give anyone regardless of sex, age ..etc
not just the old cheese and crackers...but sometimes you can know your family's general taste and fix up your own food basket and those are often a great gift!

yea definitely dont get a gift card, i actually hate getting those, i think a fun idea would be to get (if you can) $25 worth of lottery or scratch off tickets, anybody would appreciate those, especially if they won something!!! even if they didnt, its still something that they would not have gotten for themselves.
