What are some of the Christmas greetings elsewhere in the world?

I think it was to be opposite in a way. When we revolted we didn't want to do things the same way as the mother country. Therefore we say Merry instead of Happy. We drive on the right instead of the left. And that's why we have no royalty.

But I do wish we would have neglected English weights and measures and would have went with the metric system....it's so much easier.

We do not have such things as "Merry" here.
