They gather three times including Christmas day. It is the same inlaws and their families at all three gatherings. I think Christmas Day is enough of the inlaws. How do I get out of the other two? What excuse can I use?

Hey. im going away in about a week.

Its Almost christmas. and i have many of family members. and because, my family lives poor, i cannot ask for money. and since its cold. i cant put up a lemonade stand, mow lawns or anything like that. my neighbors are stuck up. and hate my parents, so asking to help with decorations is out of the question. i am just a kid, so i cannot apply for a job. and my parents are over protective, so i cannot leave my neighbor hood, to work for other people. i live in a poor town, which means my friends are poor, and if theyre rich, they either 1.) need $$ for christmas shoppin or are 2.) self centered.

my grandparents ar dead. no money from them.

please help a 12 year old kid out!

I need to get this guy like something very special for Christmas. We're not going out or anything, but I think I like him and he might feel something special for me. So I want to get him something special and not too suggestive, just like something heartwarming and other people won't get him. He does NOT want anything electronic or generic, and not gift cards... He already got me a present, I don't know what, but from what I've seen him getting, it's probably something pretty good and around $20-30. Can anyone tell me some ideas? I'm not sure what guys consider special/important or what they like this Christmas. Also, please tell me things that are actually presents, not cook for him or something. Thanks!
