I don't, but probably should...

I'm in Iraq, but I know my family is safe and having a blast.
It's about time they enjoyed themselves and with me being here it is a 'doable thing' for them.

I used to get depressed at Xmas, but I decided that it was kinda wasting my time and dragging everyone else down.

So I threw up some lights, pulled out something and made a tree out of it... and now I am waiting for the fat guy in the red suit.

You sound like a well rounded young lady, but just unhappy for some reason. Have you considered talking with your doctor? When I was 17 I had ovarian cysts, which will really mess up your hormones, and would cry if the family I was rooting for on Family Feud lost! LOL It seems funny now, but at the time I really thought I was losing it. My point is that there could be a medical reason for your feelings, so it might be a good idea to go get a thorough check up. Good luck and keep smiling!

everyone at one time or another feels sad especially if you lost someone from your family; make it a point of remembering the happy times , that is what your loved one would want; your loved one would hate it if they knew that you were sad and lonely. If you remember the meaning of Christmas, then you know that your loved one is celebrating on a grand scale; look to the heaven and know that they are looking down at you in spirit in love; love doesn't die. Make a special ornament of remembrance and place it on the tree as a tribute and to let everyone know that they are not here right now but not forgotten. Merry Christmas

Do you mean Christmas? Last year I was very depressed because I had lost my Dad in June and that was the first Christmas that I had without him. My Dad had suffered from ALS and Jesus took him under his arm and gave him peace with no pain anymore. It's still hard around the holiday's without my Dad but it gets better with time and prayer.
