Well, how old are they?
Infant/toddler: Matching outfits/blankets/stuffed animals/toys (pink-girl, blue-boy)
Preschool aged- Toy they want (not same thing, they're getting older plus, they're not the same gender)
Aged 6-8: Again, something they ask for( REALLY TRY TO AVOID SAME THINGS)
9/10/11: They may be into electronics, or anything else. Again, buy them what they want.
12-any age: Get them what they want, and make sure you don't get them the same thing.
As they get older, gift certificates can be quite nice.

How old are they? Regardless, it requires two gifts, one for each. Books would be a gift which would be alike, cost the same, and please any age.
