everyone complains about the commercialised side of christmas, but to be honest i love it, especcialy the coca-cola advert! People also say that we shouldn't forget the lord. Actually the Christians hijacked (quoted from my catholic friend) christmas from the pagens. Anyway, who loves christmas movies/food/commercials/magazines/presents/hot chc?!?!

So I'm 20 years old and this year I wanted to do something cool for Halloween with a few of my friends. Something simple that isn't trick-or-treating and isn't a party because I still live with my parents ad they are NOT the kind to accep a party.
So I would really appreciate some logical, lawful, fun ideas for Halloween. I know Halloween is still 28 days away but I'd like to get ideas now so I know how much money I need to get together for whatever idea I think is the best.
Then again I was thinking maybe like a mascarade party because my 21st birthday is only 4 days away. So maybe I could combine the two togeather? IDK.
HELP? PLEASE? Its appreciated!

My sister has an annual Halloween party and this year's theme is Harry Potter. I am known for my creative costumes, but this one has me stumpted. Back when I was a teenager, the night before Halloween was called Gate Night and still is in my area. That was the night that houses would get egged and toilet papered (other pranks too) for no reason other then it was "Gate Night". well my hair is currently styled ,minus the redness, of David Bowie in his mullet phase. now for Halloween i was planning (by planning i thought of it last night while watch him perform on an infomercial) to go as Bowie. i figure that one of the scariest things i could go as, besides dying my hair red, what other things would i need? oh yeah, i will not wear 'make-up', i'm calling it face paint so i can keep some shred of masculinity in this messed up vencher.

Something cheap...I'm on a budget, I'm trying to save up for a trip overseas.
I have one mask, it's like a devil.
I probably can go to like, Rite Aid or maybe a party store.
What should I get?
And how do I set stuff up?
Nothing too scary, there's some little kids across the street and I don't think their parents want them crying. =]

Last night some guy asked what was my religion because he sees my head scarf and I answered Islam, so he starts going on and on, on why so radical change, since I just reverted to Islam (by choice). Then he said that muslims we are so honored dying and killing people for Allah. So I explained to him that, those who do this are not true followers of Islam and they will be condemned. And made him realize he had made a mistake critizising harsh. Anyway I left and today I came back and my desk was decorated with Happy Birthday ribbons (I turned 23 today) my friends did this for me. So I have been sitting here all day long people greeting me, and then he came and said happy birthday and extended his hand to to shake mine. And I totally so forgot in that moment and didn't think about it, that a woman is not to touch a man or viceversa if they are not mahraam. I did it because I was taught to shake people hands as greetings, and this time it went over my head. Is this a bad sin or something?
