i have a 6th grade friend and she asks if she sould give valentine's day cards. she thinks that some people will laugh at her and say she's a little kid. what should i say back?

Ugh! No way. It's so annoying when these little, immature kids try to ridicule their peers for keeping traditions alive. ADULTS give out Valentines Day gifts. Tell her to not worry about them for a second and give out what she wants. They'll be wishing THEY got a gift come Feb. 14.

i gave out Valentines when I was in 6th grade. Just be like, I think that's cool! It's a little early to be thinking about that though lol

I think that is so sweet and I feel bad for her because some stupid people might laugh. They are the ones acting like little kids! I don't think that she is too old to give Valentines; I don't think you're ever too old for that.

Well, if she wants to give out Valentines cards, she should, but not to every single classmate like you had to do in Elementary. Maybe not sappy or barbie cards, but making close friends feel special with a heart lollipop and a cute/funny card is great(in my opinion anyway. Lol.).

Tell her to do it anyways. I'm in the 10th grade and I plan on giving out candy to one of my classes. There's nothing wrong with giving our cards and candy, especially at her age. She's only in 6th grade, so they still have that elementary school mentality. Plus, people are always hungry at school and love candy. LOL

6th grade? even though when i was in HS we use to give cards on valentine days...ITS NOT childish its sweet that she cares; & whoever laughs her is pathetic & isn't loved. =]

if i was her i wud care less what people wud say but neways she shudnt waste her mone yon cards just save that money and buy herself something because those cards will be long forgotten one time my friend gave out gold rings and everyone was laughing because he was so cheap he learned the hard way

Valentines are cute no matter how old you are!! But I would be worried about Christmas and Thanksgiving right now!!!
