A haunted house is always good. If a few of the classrooms are connected (door going from one room to the other rather than having to go out into the hall) you can always use a few such rooms, setting up partitions in each to make the rooms a little smaller and offer more places to hide. Sell tickets to go through.

Hold a chinese raffle. Get folks in the school to contribute various items. Gift certificate for X amount to local resturants, gas card good for so many dollars in gas, new DVDs of some of the latest movies (or some Halloween themed movies), blankets, flashlights, basically things folks might be intrested in getting. Then charge a dollar a ticket making sure you get tickets with the same number on two ends. They then put half their ticket in a bag for the item they want to try and win. Obviously if they want to try for multiple items they have to purchase multiple tickets.

Set up a dunking both or some other carnival type of game, making certain to get all kinds of party favors and such for folks to try and win.

Create a haunted house like in the school

Have a best dress costumes, and 4 categories.
1. Scariest 2. Funniest 3. Most creative 4. Best over all.

Have a goodie bag treats and games galore..
Don't forget the boobie prizes :) so everyone feels like they won something too. You could have a theme to the Halloween Party like a certain movie character or book or a stage theme like
wizard of oz.

Imagination has no limit...just think fun, "safe" and something all can enjoy and not get left out.

Bobbing for apples

Haunted Hay ride through a spooky trail outside

Play bingo (have prizes for this too)

Also, have a story time, tell spooky stories. (Keep it fun though)

For younger kids have a bubble machine, play hot potato, where you toss the potato to the next person as fast as you can or end up holding the hot potato, have a timer set up to go off when no one knows when it will stop, who ever is stuck holding the hot tater, is out. Continue until there is two left and the one stuck holding it looses and one not holding it wins...give both a prize....grand prize and runner up.

Twister

Simon says

Eating a donut from string with hands tied behind your back.

Smack a pinata

Guessing games: Like a jar of candy, who ever guesses the closest wins the jar.

Pin a tail on a monster (instead of a donkey) blind folded.

Play music

Musical chairs

Set up a movie theatre and play scary movies (watch the ratings)

Set up a karaoke

Hide prizes with clues written down on little pieces of paper which has clues to where the prizes are..make up riddles or clues to give everyone a fair shot, don't have the one making them up, also go hunting for a prize...it should be really fun, depending on the crowds enthusiasm.

Dance area with a strobe light and fake smoke...

Food..easy
Soda or punch, Chips, Pretzels, Pop corn, Doritos, Tortilla chips,
Corn chips, cookies, brownies, cup cakes, candy filled bowls with m&m's and spooky candy.

Decorating is all up to you all...make it as spooky or not so spooky with fake cobwebs, blood, all kinds of trinkets..

Good Luck and Happy Scaring!

BOO!

Make a haunted house out of black plastic with different rooms where you will have a varary of scary things. Use webs, black lights and have individuals dressed up coming out of the corners, (not too scary for the young ones) or for the younger kids make it a castle (out of boxes) painted up, with some of their favorite Disney characters. Remember to charge a fee, do bobby for apples, a maze out of bales of hay, pumpkin curving contest. After the parents do a bake off and sell the goodies. Go on the web for ideas, Borders also has books. Good luck!

well first they need a spelling program....

for food try candy corn, mini candy bars, and have people buy raffle tickets. other fun food could be hotdogs or bbq or make ur own sandwich

games could be bobbing for apples, pin the hat on the witch, costume contest, musical chairs, and face painting.

scary things could be a haunted house for the older kids in one of the rooms with people following them and popouts.

and even tho u didnt add this music should be thriller, monster mash, and any other fun dance/halloween/scary music. try itunes and search halloween!

well you could have like a dance and have an entrance fee. and it could be like a mini homecoming. there could be a non-alcoholic bar for them to buy drinks or food. i think that is the best thing to do.
