Holidays - October 2007

My friends and family and I all have almost no bucks for Christmas this year. My family are all volunteering at each other's charity causes. But what to do about my friends? Is it still okay to bake cookies, make Baileys and fudge and stuff or is that too old fashioned?

Every year, on halloween night, I see kids out there having fun, getting candy, dress up in cute costumes, You know what sucks, you look out the window, seeing kids having fun out there and you can't go out there yourself! Why? Because mother won't let you! Every year you cry, you can't have any fun at all, I ask mom why she won't let me go out, and get candy, and she's like "We're a Christian family, we don't celebrate it". I would tell her I'm not Christian, but she still won't let me go to parties, and dress up" Yes, It sucks. I know, I'm 17 now, and I still never went trick or treating, I would tell kids that, but everyone stares at me. They say, you suck, how could you not ever celebrate halloween, this is what being a kid is all about.!

I want to ask my mom, but I don't know how to persuade her. Am I too old for trick or treating, I don't want to miss out on all the fun. This is my last chance, to do this, to experience halloween for the first time!

Halloween, is usually the most boring day of the year, I wanna watch scary movies, but as long as mother in near the living room, I can't, and I have a 5 yr old in the house.

Man Life sucks, it really does. sometimes I wish I were born to better parents.

How can I persuade my mom to let me have fun and go trick or treating?!

I need an idea for a teenage guys halloween costume. He has no idea what to go as, and he is my date to a costume party. We need somthing REALLY cheap. Grandparents are usually good cooks & they usually have those extra special, extra yummy dishes that they're famous for. My granny makes THEE best sweet potatoes ever!! They're like heaven on a plate! And Granddad makes the best tasting corn pudding & home made dinner rolls. I can't wait for Thanksgiving & I'm pregnant so I have an excuse to have a few extra plates!! Lol
