Your never too old. Although I stopped when I was 16. I did go once when I was 18 with my cousin and friend.

its a hard one, i'd say as a rule as long as you are 11 and under. By the time they reach 12 or 13, its getting to the last few years. Girls can prolly get away with an extra year or 2. Guys, if they look like they got the peach fuz, people will start asking if your too old. Honeslty i think if you need perental supervision you can probably get away with it. If your old enough to be out alone, then you should stop, and maybe throw a halloween party. You can stretch it a little if you take a young child, hold a bag and ask for some for their baby sister.

furthermore, if you are dresing like a "sexy" (alien, mouse, witch, maid, etc.) your too old to go trick or treating.
I will also add, if you are a kid who is too cool to dress up and you where a sheet as a cape, don't trick or treat. I know there are people who can't afford to buy a costume, but if you really wanted to, you could get creative.

my final thought. If your a parent, please discourage kids to dress sexy, there will time for that when you cant control them, prolly by middle school.

The rule that I go by (both when handing out candy and trick or treating) is if you're being polite and respectful to the kids trick or treating and the people who are handing out candy, there's no such thing as too old to go trick or treating. I was still going for myself at 17. I'm 26 now and I haven't missed a year....granted, now I take my little ones out. But even if I didn't have kids, I'd still go. It's way too much fun not to. But I'm also very respectful to those around me and I'm not starting trouble with the people who are passing out candy or the kids around. If you're not comfortable doing that, take your little brother/sister or a cousin, a neice or nephew, a friend's younger sibling, one of the neighborhood kids who's parents don't have the time to do it.

really if you start to push the little kids out of the way to get candy, then you need to stop and just throw a party. but if you are respectful of the little ones who are allowed by law to go trick or treating, then NEVER STOP! lol. also i think that if you hand out candy AND go trick or treating then its probably better then taking some candy when you know your too old. but by law i think its 14 or so, maybe even 13. HAVE FUN TRICK-OR-TREATING

Never! I love to dress up and trick or treat! I try to borrow someone's little ones to take with me, but if I can't find any, I still go! Gotta dress up, though!

If you get a good enough mask... you're never too old! They won't be able to tell how old you are.

Unless you're Yao Ming, or someone really tall. That might look weird lol.

About 16 then you can invite friends over to watch horror movies and eat LOTS of popcorn or explore a graveyard.

If you think you are to old, you are to old. Buy your own candy and leave the treats for the kids. Sheesh!!!
