I love bakeing cookies with my kids this time of the year from pumpkin cookies to sugar cookies if you dont mind to share what is your favorite cookie recipe this time of the year Do you have that one special cookie that you have to bake at Christmas !

my daughter and i always make suger cookies here is the recipe we use

Eskimo Joe's
SUGAR COOKIES
You need -
1 cup of butter (2 sticks)
1 cup of sugar
3 egg yolks
1 1/2 tsp. of vanilla
2 1/2 cups of sifted flour

Cream butter with sugar until light & fluffy. Add egg yolks and vanilla. Stir in flour 1/3 at a time. Wrap in wax paper and chill.

When you finished chillin', roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut with your favorite cookie cutters.

Bake at 350 for ten minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Decorate as desired.
Butter Cream Frosting

1 cup of butter
1 box of powder sugar
2 table spoons of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla
food coloring if wanted

blend all to together ice cookies

Date Nut Chewies for Christmas I make them every year!
Just 4 ingredients, fun delicious and simple!
People have paid me to make these for them too. I always double or triple mine.
***DO NOT PILE THEM UP LIKE THIS PICTURE!!!***
Date Nut Chewies
2 cups chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups chopped dates
2 cups sweetened flaked coconut
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
Grease 2 cookie sheets.
Place by rounded spoonsfuls on sheets.
Bake at 350* for 12 minutes or until edges lightly brown.
Cool on rack.
Store in airtight container.

Either Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodles, or my Grandma's really thin sugar and butter cookies she calls Brown-edge cookies.

Caramel balls...you take a can of sweetened condensed milk boiled in can, rolled into balls, then rolled in pecans and dipped in milk chocolate...its heaven!!
