My friends and family and I all have almost no bucks for Christmas this year. My family are all volunteering at each other's charity causes. But what to do about my friends? Is it still okay to bake cookies, make Baileys and fudge and stuff or is that too old fashioned?

Absolutely it is not old fashioned. It is trying to be a sweet person, who happens to be low on cash this Christmas. Baking cookies, a pie, fudge or anything like that is bound to be appreciated. Just put things in a nice bag or box with a bow to dress it up a bit! Have a great holiday!

P.S. I think the volunteer work is a super idea!

I would love to get some old fashion presents.

We are so high tec these days and yet the kids of today and everyone else as a matter of fact has forgotten the true meaning of Christmas!

As it is made with unconditional love and given from your heart, how can anyone refuse such lovely gifts?

If they turn their noses up, then I am afraid to say that their are not true friends!

A true friend sticks by you whatever!

My kids & I every year make our own Christmas cards and everyone loves them and also give people home made gifts. Everyone loves them!

Why not go on the internet and get loads of ideas. You've got Martha Stewart or something like that. Get inspired with the magic of Christmas and I'm sure you will have a grand time .

Blessed Be X

baking is never too old fashion. I bake for my friends and stuff all the time. its cheap and easy and something they can all enjoy. this year I'm doing cookies and bits and bites. I usually start looking for cereal and nuts going on sale and pick up what I can now to make closer to Christmas. its always the thought that counts anyways.....balieys...yummm!

I think your friends would love some home made goodies for Christmas...I know I would. I'd much rather have some cookies made with love than a blouse that doesn't fit or some gloves I don't even like. :)

Your friends are your friends cause they love you, not cause they want presents.

Food is always a nice gift. Especially if you get creative and decorate each piece to fit the recipient - cookie letters spelling their name, using their favorite animal shapes or colors, etc.

I have had those kind of years. I always give homemade gifts and my friends do the same. We love it! It says you care and it is great to see what you will get.

What's wrong with old fashioned? If that;s what you want to do, then do it. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

Mary and Joseph found a way to have Christmas with no money. I'm sure you can, too.
