Holidays - January 2007

Mine is a cross between Thanksgiving and Valentines Day. Thanksgiving is my favorite because you spend time with the people who you love and eat lots of good foods. :)
Valentines day is that one special day to do something nice for your sweetie and make them happy.

My best friend and I both have our birthdays in July and they are 2 weeks apart so we are just going to combine our parties and just have one big one. We basically grew up together so our families all know eachother and we have the same friends and stuff.

Here's what we are going to do-
We're going to invite all our friends and family and since we live in Cali so we are going to have our party at the beach and BBQ and stuff and when it gets dark we're going to have a huge bon fire and stuff like that.

We are also going to rent out a beach house for the weekend and its going to be me, her, and 3 other friends staying there together.
What do you think?

This is mine and my boyfriend's second valentine's together. Last year I made him a photo album with tons of pictures of us together with cute little quotes and sayings. I also got him 3 cookies from Great American Cookie Company that said "I LOVE (but an actual heart) U". This year I want to do something sweet and romantic like last year but I can't get my brain to think. I had thought of a cake with a picture of the two of us on it but thought maybe I should save that for his birthday instead. Anyone got any suggestions or something that you did for your sweetheart? About 20 years ago, I posted a medium-length quote about Earth on my classroom wall. It began with something like, "If the Earth were a ball, spinning in the middle of the room . . . wonderful . . . precious . . . etc. It provided an imagery that is essential at the alternative school where I now teach.
