for those that dont know that is when uppercalss people by property in lower class parts of town (usually the inner city) for cheap. They of course fix up the proprty and drive up the price. But because the value of the surrounding area goes up, when the new tax assesment comes often people who have owned thier property for years con now no longer pay the taxes and have to sell (although usually for the new higher value). But the result is once black inner city nighborhoods become white enclave for white yuppies (before you call me racist; by yuppy, I mean Young Urban Proffessional).

This is happening where I live, fortunately ofetn black people can still afford to live here, but many of them are relocated, to where, I dont know.

In todays world of modernisation and increased use of internet, the interaction with the outer world has increased too...you come in contact with all sorts of people from all walks of like and tend to become quite friendly and close with them. So how good and trustworthy or should i say what importance do they have in our life? Do they really make a impact on our lives?

Does anyone who has no children get pressure about having children from other people? I choose not to have children, I love my friends children very much and like to spoil them when am with them, but everytime am in a social gathering, I get funny looks when I say I don't want kids of my own.. am happy with my life and I think its unfair to be deemed selfish if one does not want to have kids. What do you think?

I can remember reading somewhere a long time ago that one of the cigarette companies in the USA had Klu Klux Klan connections and there was a secret design on the cigarette packets. Does anyone know about it please?

I've been in a grumpy mood today. I called a friend that I'm meeting to attend a play with later this afternoon and she reminded me of a phrase I know of but had temporarily forgotten and that is to " Teach People How To Treat You '.

To make others aware, when necessary, of what our own personal boundries are. Personal boundries of what is o.k. or not o.k. in my own Carol world.

Have you done this ? To teach people how to treat you ? To value your own self and personal environment and clarify with others what is or not is fine while being in your own personal space?

My friend also said it is my ' birth right ' as a soul to be treated as a person of value.

Your experience with this ?

The belief that we are all equal is moronic equal means the same as and how can you be the same and different. If we were all equal then you are saying you are the same as child molester murderers and other vile forms of humanity i am superior to many and find the idea we are all equal retarted.. There are many afraid of the truth if you say you think there are differences you are called racist etc but i ask you to use logic are all makes of cars equal is not a ferrari better than a ford so using the same logic just because we are people difference automatically makes some better than others

Not only on Yahoo Answers, but everywhere, people seem to assume that just because one black person does something, all black people must do it. Or just because one black person has a certain opinion, all black people share this opinion. We are not one big family who thinks alike! This is coming from a black person who was teased for not liking rap music or BET, but instead liking classical music and preferring a good book over "Boyz in da Hood."

This question is for non-blacks but especially for other blacks.

Why can't we be seen as individuals instead of "the black community"?

But realistically making it famous rapping is like playing in the nba a slim percentage will actually make it. I think that tv has given alot a young people a false reality of life. I know kids thats spend all there energy rapping but they have no education, In stead of wrinting music use that for something else positive that will transcend into money. truthfully alot of them are not worth listening to, at some point you gotta realize its not for you. I played basketball all through school highschool and college, i didn't have what it taked to go pro its the same wit rapping everyone not gonna make it.
