Well, I'm white and I don't dislike black people or any other race. I have friends whom I love that are of different races. I also have many black friends that I both love and respect, all of which are terrific people. Many of these people I have trusted with my life, when we worked together. And as far a me wanting to be like you because your black, no I don't want to be like any one but my self. But thanks for the thought just the same.
You see, I'm happy just being my self so that I don't want to be like any one else.
My question would be where do you get the idea that all white people dislike all black people, but that they want to be like you? Is it because of music, food, clothes or what?

A lot the answers I read here were attacking you. Which is typical of people in general. Instead of really thinking about the question, they just want to get their own two cents in, because in the end, that is the only thing that makes them feel special.
As for your question: while it is a bit general, I think it raises some important topics. First of all, a lot of people who are not black who said that they were not racists, it's a lie. Most people, white or black, are indeed in some fashion racist. Racism is no longer white hoods and burning crosses. For many people, I suggest they rent Crash. There is a reason why this movie won an Oscar. To the black woman who made the statement "It's questions like these that cause whites to dislike blacks." Well, I never knew that it was OUR responsibility to make white people like us. As black people, we have contribute a lot to the American society, and if white people still hate us, then that’s their problem not ours. But about white people acting like us, well that’s hard to say. I feel that they are white people who genuinely respect black people and they just like the style we have or music or whatever. However, that has always been the case. From food to style to music, white people in general have always taken it from us and somehow have incorporated into their culture. But then again, everyone does that after some fashion. Yet we're still dislike by the majority? Maybe it's a way for white people to truly "understand" us without getting "mug" or some stupid s-hit like that. For me personally, I think a lot of our style, music, whatever is what is really hurting us as a people. It distracts us from more important issues that our people are dealing with. I think the reason why white people in general like a lot of things that we do, is because it furthers the stereotype that they already had in mind for us as a people.
I forgot to mention one thing: I will never understand this on the other hand. Black women has always deal with crap about her hair, lips, skin color, and behind. Now white women in genral are now paying a lot money to obtain our hair, lips, skin color, and behind. Yet society would have us think that a fake white woman is somehow more visually appealing then a real black woman. Maybe it jealousy.

NOT all white people dislike black people, in fact the majority nowadays do not in all honesty. So the basic premise of the question is flawed; it's based on a total generalization that has no grounding in fact.

I'm white! My best friend and boyfriend are black! When I look at them i dont see a diffence other than color and i forget about that........I dont see color....I dont wish I was black........but I do love most black people for the simple fact that most of them are real.....they aint fake....they dont try to be someone they aint, they most of the time dont down on others.......and Im right there with em when someone i hear someone screamin white power....even though I look funny in that crowd I like who I am and I like who Im with! now to be funny alil bit......most black girls do got big booties and i wish my was bigger.....they have more rythem and can dance and I wish i could do that better too! I hope your not racist against white people!!!!!!

I don't dislike Black people that have jobs and support their families like everyone else But I do Hate n!ggers that think that they are better then everyone else & let the goverment take care of their families...
& I'm proud to be White & why the fu*k would I want to be Black...
