I've been in a grumpy mood today. I called a friend that I'm meeting to attend a play with later this afternoon and she reminded me of a phrase I know of but had temporarily forgotten and that is to " Teach People How To Treat You '.

To make others aware, when necessary, of what our own personal boundries are. Personal boundries of what is o.k. or not o.k. in my own Carol world.

Have you done this ? To teach people how to treat you ? To value your own self and personal environment and clarify with others what is or not is fine while being in your own personal space?

My friend also said it is my ' birth right ' as a soul to be treated as a person of value.

Your experience with this ?

" BlackestP " . . . Cool answer. I'm a ' pasty white girl " and I've been taught to ' stand in my power " as a woman. Colors of people, cultures, genders . . . not matter to me...It's all about inner strength. That comes from an individual...not their color. I like your attitude though. Thanks for your shared answer.

I think a lot of it is your perception. If you think people are treating you badly, it might be your own insecurity. But yeah, stand up for yourself, but all means.

Also, do onto others....
