Our hair is the most dryest thing on earth, straight hair has more OIL than our hair. Where did this stereotype come from?

I've always wondered this. And usually its non white people who stare at blondes like a lit up christmas tree, is it because they look so different from them? And also how come OTHER white people do it to? It's not like blondes look THAT different from other white people.

No offence intended if you are indeed awake - but there are some so subtle questions that Americans think are serious and it goes right over your head and you get upset with the asker. What time do you all get up UK time?

My children is friends with a little girl whose mother works at Subway or somewhere awful. I saw the father leaving for work in a t-shirt and sweatpants once. They even buy their kids second hand text books for school! Unthinkable. They also drive a beater car and keep the thermostat at 68, unlike my house where it is always 87 degrees. What is wrong with these deadbeats? What should I do?

Why we hide as individuals?
I mean for example, in Yahoo Answer pages, the names we mention across is definitely not our respective names. The photos are not ours, we hijack from other places. Why are we afraid of revealing our own selves?

I'm not looking for a dictionary definition - I know what the word means - I'm looking for your own explanation as to what culture is for you in an international context.

The culture I'm talking about is the one that generally refers to patterns of human activity and the symbolic structures that give such activity significance.

i.e. I'm not talking about yoghurt.

The cleverest answer gets selected as best.

Hi,

I live in the US but my biggest dream in life is to live and study in Brazil. The reason for this could take many pages to explain because it's a long story and also, in my opinion, a very beautiful one. Basically, I am not comfortable living in the United States because of the materlistic culture and lack of old-fashioned customs and values. I have been to Brazil and have fallen in love with what I consider the most human, fun, kind, sweet and civilized people in the world (my very personal opinion and without offending anyone). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stay there longer since I didn't have enough money and there is no way that as a foreigner I could get a job there. I felt like if I had reached paradise and then brought back to reality and my reality, the place where I live (the US) now looks worse after having touched heaven once. Is there a way I can get some organization to sponsor my studies and living expenses there for at least a year?? Thanks a lot!

if everyone simultaneously stops using that word, maybe it will go away, it still is a controllable little fire that we can still stamp out, lest it grows into a raging inferno.

I got to say Asian women are amazing, they are easily the most beautiful creatures on earth. They have wonderful persoanlities also, they are so kind, caring, warm, sweet, gentil, shy, and delicate like a flower. apanese, Korean, Chinese, Filipino, ect, it doesn't matter, they are all so incredibly beautiful. I don't think I have ever seen a really ugly Asian women.

I am a 25 year old successful, attractive black woman. I am a manager in a computer securities company, and I own and operate my own restaurant. I take very good care of my body, and try to dress with style. I've been told that I have a very nice personality ... I am not loud or obnoxious in public, even though black women are stereotyped as being so. However, when I am at the club or on an outing, every black man I see is always interested in talking to white women. I don't really have a problem with inter-racial dating, but it seems that black men are incapable of noticing a sweet, sexy black woman. Thoughts? Ideas?
