"the only racism that exist [sic] is black racism...."
That's the DUMBEST thing I've ever read, well, it's second only to Heaven02's incredibly stupid statements.
Why does she care about being labelled as racist? She IS racist and has admitted it!
Answers like that prove why white Americans refuse to believe that racism exists. They think it only affects them.

This is one of putting fuel on a fire questions lmbo.
Ok, I'm African American and I think your question treads a bit on stereotyping alll white people.
Just as it's not ok to lump all African American's into one group, it's also not fair to do the same for White American's. Some are more than aware of the issue.
I'm sure there are some out there who don't think it exists, but that may be because no black person has sat them down and lovingly spoke with them about the issues going on. They don't know if there's no one to educate them.
Alot of the white people I've met are curious about African American issues, but unfortunately, are afraid to ask for fear of being labeled racist or just flat out being "gone off on".
Even Jesus was subjected to racism, so it's been around for a very long time.

Because White's have never experienced racism. But if you watch shows like Black/White (which aired on FX), the White people are always stunned at how they are treated while made up to look like a Black person.
I think deep down inside, Whites do know this society see's Black people as being a lesser race .
I read about an experiment one college professor asked a class of White students how much they would charge to live as certain minority groups. The people named the same rate for most minority groups (Asian, Latin, Jewish, etc), but when it came to how much they would charge to change their race to Black, the asking price was double that of other groups. If everyone is equal, why would that be the case?
Food for thought.

Do they? Do you think it is a "white American" thing or is it present in all subsets of race? Like I see and hear Black people say racist things about whites all the time, but they would not say they (the Blacks) were being racist. I know Mexicans, co-workers of mine, who won't speak English in front of non-Mexicans as kind of a "joke" just to piss someone off.
Sometimes non-whites "get away" with doing things that whites can't, so I would think that whites would be very conscious of racism because they are the ones seemingly held accountable.
When was the last time a white person got shot by a cop and a whole community got upset about it and held prayer meetings moonlight vigils, etc.?
Racism isn't white vs. non-whites, it is "a form of discrimination based on race, especially the belief that one race is superior to another." nothing says it is white against everyone else, it can be Asian vs. Black, Mexican vs. Samoan, etc. and not just in America.

Because they aren't the ones behind the racism.. But I'm not saying all white Americans think that way. Some do, they prefer to live in the ignorance of it.

I know that the most prevailent racism that exists in this country comes from our own public school teachers and textbooks. They are constantly projecting hatred toward white people.
My History teacher, for example, at Diablo Valley College in Pheasent Hill CA, was talking to us about the Declaration of Independents (DOI). She told us the the statement, "We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equally, they are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights", meant, "that all white men are created equally." She said, "It was written for white men."
What it really means is this. The Bible made it clear, all men are created equally. Key word, "created", Meaning by God, and rights come from God, not man.
So I get pretty P.Oed when I hear people saying that this country wasn't founded on Christian principles. Those people are just dumb idiots who know nothing about history. Furthermore, the seperation of church and state is written no where in the constitiution. It was written by Thomas Jefferson in 1802 in a letter to the Danbury Baptist Church in Connecticut. What it meant was a one dimensional wall meant to keep the government from running the church, but to insure that church principles would always influence to government, otherwise the government would surely become corrupt; which we see today to be true. That is why all the rasict communist scum like the ACLU (American Communist Lawyers Union) should have all their assets seized and be deported.
It is so bad that even my white History teacher stands up in front of a class of young Americans teaching self hate. It's all the evil whites fault, we should feel sorry. Don't forget who made this country and has always established some type of order in the world. It has be the whites, in the first world. The evil whites that you hate so much. And, where do you think this country is going to be in another 20 years with all the third world, uneducated people that we are allowing in our country, and all the self hate that is taught in the school. We are going to be a third world degenerate, corrupt nation. Just like the one that all the easily moldable sheep who are immigrating here are leaving. Because they are not tough enough, they are not educated enough, and they don't know anything about our history, language, or our freedom, therefore the will not help us to keep it. They will be the reason that we lose our freedom. That is not rasist venting either, those are the facts, Jack. I don't need your permission and won't apologize. I know what is happening to my country. If you don't like my views, you can lump it. I AM AMERICAN

you know being a white american i can honestly say that we are very aware of racism. We have to live with it everyday from black people. We cant say or look at them without being labeled racist but its ok for them to call us names and be racist towards us. its my opinion that the reason so many white ppl are racist is because we are not treated the same way as black ppl they get benefits from the goverment because they are black. Its not my fault what "they say" happened to them in the past so why should i be punished. If the black race has a problem with white ppl being racist well then they can stop being racist and treat us like they want to be treated and maybe that would solve the problem but until then it will always be a issue to white ppl because we are not equal now its blacks that are the majority and whites the minority in the goverments eyes and the blacks eyes. Start by addressing the real problem!!!!

When they feel that way, it's because we've not experienced it. Or are in an area with little minority population. It's misleading though to make a blanket statement like that. I'm a white american who's seen it, and find it about the most disgusting attitude imagineable. I once had a conversation with a black guy where I said "I was'nt raised that way." (referring to bigotry) His reply: " I could telll that about you in a second" was about the highest compliment I've ever had.

I am white american and to tell the truth this question is offensive; you are setting someone with a definite opinion up to be kicked off of answers.
But I will answer, my opinion anyway.....I do not think we do not believe it exsists......and we are tormented by it too, your question for example is very racist towards white americans (making assumptions based purely on the color of my skin)
I think it is about time for all races, colors, and creeds to live in the here and now....stop bringing up things that have happened in the past......
GET OVER IT......

Most or many White Americans don't have friends of another race, so they can't relate personally to racism or racist acts. It is fairly easy to dismiss actions that are not blatantly racist as just not being so.
