What made you "perceive" them , the way you do? Did you have any particular experience that confirms your perception? It may either be positive or negative. It is still a predominantly "free" world but no expletives please.

For those not familiar with the term chav find below some websites that show pictures of chavs, and which also describe what a chav is. Sometime the terms are used quite loosely and some people can have slightly diffirent meanings.
But in sum a chav is someone who is described as coming from a lower socio-economic background (but not always) and dresses in a particular way, and tends to be involved in petty crime (yet again, not always) such as burglary, joy-riding, shop-lifting, etc.
Anyway, after having a look at the links below, if you are from another country let me know what you think, and also if your country has a similar type category of person, and if so, what do you refer to them as.

Asians look the same as white people(in color),so why do they have their own race. Some people consider them yellow. But white people arent"pure white" their olive skinned, red, peach, orange, rosy and so on.

I've also heared it's because of their country their called Asians, but if that's true why don't other countrys have their own race?

Somebody told me that the more ticklish you are, the more jealous you are. Who ever heard of such a thing? Do you agree? I am ticklish but I am not jealous of anyone.

Half the time when someone writes in to ask or answer, you can't even understand them. I mean, we don't all need to be academic snobs, but don't you think a little effort (like using the provided spell check) is worth the time?

Culturally, I am an American. Ethnically, I am not anglo (which Texans seem to consider me) as that is a tribe that belonged to a group my people fought against. Racially, I am Caucasion, but since DNA is in all people today pretty much mixed between the races, that's irrelevant. Do people really have to judge by skin color? Then, why don't we all say we are various shades of brown? Only albinos are truly white. I am a very light shade of brown. There are African-Americans who are lighter skinned than I and who are farther descended from Africa than I from Euroasia, plus my people are first generation American).

Call toilets 'RESTROOMS'? when i first went to the states with my friends last year, we went into Wendy's and asked where the toilets were, the work people looked at us as if we were speaking a different language. They looked blank in the face, and after a few mumbles amgonst them selfs they directed as to the RESTROOM.

When you really think about it, you spend a good deal of money to buy a few inches of cloth for the sole purpose of wearing it in water and getting it totally wet. In any other situation people go out of their way to keep their clothes dry, so why buy special clothes to get them wet? Obviously, I'm being rhetorical, but I really think that the prudishness and modesty that tries to compel us to cover our "naughty parts" (and remember how those parts change over time and from culture to culture) is really something to be examined and, hopefully, relegated to the past.

Let's hear what you think...and maybe let us know your age and where you're from...age and cultural differences will possibly be significant.

I'm 21, female, from Long Island (NY)...and from the tone of the question, you know what my feelings are!

Thanks for answering...and bare hugs!
