Absolutely!
Even though words like to, two, and too are spelled correctly they may not be used in proper context, but still it shows some effort, instead of using 2 or spelling it tu.
This is what we get for dropping a spelling curriculum from our elementary schools.

i've got faith Yahoo solutions is international and you're receiving a respond from somebody whose first language isn't English and that they are nevertheless novices... and another human beings have skills someplace else yet not in grammar and spelling... through fact all of us have our strenghts and weaknesses in diverse matters. some human beings will possibly not study sufficient and hence make greater errors while spelling or utilising the suitable suited English terminology.. i even have English as a 2d language.. i'm from Western Europe yet I settle for the way how human beings spell, as long as i will understand what they're attempting to place across, through fact each so often I extremely fee an smart advice that facilitates me if I truthfully have a query that asks for advice extremely than having a cleverly spelled and grammatically suitable respond that is of no help to me in any respect to resolve my difficulty....x

I completely agree with your comment. I often forget that mind set and when I see a question or comments that do not made sense both in content and language, I tend to disregard the questions or else wind up telling the questioner how dumb they are. For instance, one person did not understand why he/she will not be paid by their civilian employer while they are serving on active duty. Just because the law says that your civilian employee must keep your job open for you while serving on active duty, does not mean you should be getting paid by that employer while you are in the military on active duty. I just believe in a little common sense from all people, not just the educated.

I'm with you on that. The occasional misspelling is one thing...but half the time all abbreviations and intentional spelling errors are so far out there, you need a translator to interpret the questions (and the answers of course).

Yes I do think it's worth taking the time to spell check. I think people who don't either forgot or are lazy. I'm not a great speller, but I always use the spell check. :-)

Seriously though, yes I rather think it does. It doesn't just seem to be kids typing as if they were sending a text message. A lot of the time the messages are from adults who should simply know better.

I especially think incorrect spelling is inexcusable since we have spell check available. Unfortunately my own grammar and syntax are very poor. I wish we also had grammar check.

Definitely! I hate how people try to incorporate barely understandable slang into various online activities. It'd be nice if people hit spell check every so often.

Yes it definitely tells you about the person. It presents a very poor image of the person. I have not hired people because of this factor in their overall presentation. One 's ability to communicate with another determines their pathway to success.
