Are you joking?
Seriously the aussie culture has been under attack in recent years thanks majorly to immigration laws, I think that every true blue aussie has a right to defend their culture and way of life in general. I think you will find that as a majority in this country we are slowly becoming a siling minority to other cultures.
I think in general we embrace difference and diversity amongst our community but within reason, we will take the good aspect (i.e. what you bring that will contribute to the great good of our communities) but will defend our way of life against any bad that any other culture brings.
I dont want you to think that i a racist, because I am certainly not, but do wish that people coming to our country should leave all their "bad" at the front door before they come in. Forget your ethnic rivalries, forget your wars and your bloody past, your vengful way of life and come and join into our way of life, one that is considered by all as a happy go lucky one.
That is my view and I dont mean to insight violence or anything of the kind i just want everyone and everything to be taken as face value and not to be judged with preconcieved ethnic notions from lets face it another life.

I think a walk past your favourite pizza shop or kebab booth might say otherwise. I think most australians take people as they find them. There have been immigrants for 200 years and they seem to have populated and done okay. Being tolerant doesn't mean foregoing own our way of life or laws to newcomers.

We'll as a well travelled Aussie I don't believe so. In all countries there are unfortunetly some that give a bad name but it does not mean that everybody is the same.
