Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender - July 2006

This Question stems from a question i Asked earlier about the 'The Gay Games' which can be found here:

I understand the answers people gave, but to me it still seems wrong for the 'Gaymes' to explicitly exclude a group of people based on their sexual orientation.

So what I would like to know is that since these 'Gay Games' are so important for gay athletes so that they can be around people like them and feel comfortable while playing sports would the gay community support the 'Strait Games' for those people who are homophobic, so that they would not have to deal with or worry about dealing with having homosexuals on their team.

Would it be a really bad thing to take along my croos dressing brother and take advantage of the offer, he is very convincing and keen to get out more but still a bit nervous i thought a busy noisy place like that might help with blending in and build confidence

Could someone tell me the closest cities in Atlanta to Griffin, GA? I'd like to live in Atlanta (or in the suburb) and the job I took is in Griffin. I know it'll be a long drive by doing this, but due to personal reasons, living in ATL works better for me. Does this mean that queers are discriminating against "straight" people? Why can't they find a better name than Gay Games? Why can't the atheletes qualify for the Olympics? Are they just trying to get finances from a current trend? Why even have these games? Is it true that there is a lisp contest???

I have a few male friends who are gay. They don't look or act gay, they act totaly nomal, (of course gay IS normal, but I mean they act, and look streight) yet they can't seem to find good jobs, or get promotions. And the reason they give is, because they are "gay"!!Now I know for a fact they never talk about it at work, or act in a manner that would even suggest they are gay. So why do they use it as an excuse? as if someone could tell they were gay by just looking at them, and refuse to give them a job? I've know these men for years, and love them dearly, but I'm tired of the job saga's and complaints afterward. I think they just don't want to work. What do you think?

Heres the situation, been living together for nearly 2yrs but gf will not give up old apt. Seems strange esp being that she only goes over to it once a wk to check mail *less than 5mins*. This apt isnt in the budget (as we are not wealthy), the rent has gotten behind (her landlord is understanding?) by a substantial amount. When asked why she wont let the apt go..i am struck with silence--no response at all! Which sends off crazy red flags. Please, let me hear some outside opinions on this one-- should be as interesting as my question!!
