Does this mean that queers are discriminating against "straight" people? Why can't they find a better name than Gay Games? Why can't the atheletes qualify for the Olympics? Are they just trying to get finances from a current trend? Why even have these games? Is it true that there is a lisp contest???

They can qualify for the olympics in fact one of the weight lifters is one of the best in the world. The best thing about this event is that any one Gay or Straight can take part in the events. It is open to anyone who likes to exercise. As for the Lisp contest I am guessing that you are a little uneducated on the topic as for your slamming it. Try to grow up a little and accept that not everyone is like you

From a straight guy.

I won't be going to the Gay Games in Chicago, but I will attending the World Outgames in Montreal. The outgames encourage all participation, both gay and straight. I can't speak for the qualifying aspect although I know some of the disciplines for the Outgames are qualifiers. Getting finances from a current trend? not sure I understand what that means. Finally, you obviously are either ignorant of what the games are about or you just wanted to get a dig in because the last part of your question clearly was meant to be insulting. Oh well, no matter, still going to have a great time.

I think this is an opportunity to show the world that gay people are people just like them. We run and jump, play games, sing, dance, and bowl. Lisping? I didn't hear about that one!

I'm planning on going to the Sunday session at the Cultural center where there will be a panel discussion on sexuality and faith, and then a religious music concert.

There is no lisp contest, but there is something the Olympics doesn't have yet:
Ballroom dancing.

And for the Gay Games, it is same sex dancing!

If there are, that ought to nicely be quite disappointing. I understand the certain Olympics, you safeguard them so as that you do not provide certain persons an skills/downside in route of diverse persons. I understand why adult men and ladies do no longer compete in the equivalent activities in route of one an extra. yet once you enable gay persons into the secure Olympics, why ought to you've were given a gay Olympics? that ought to nicely be except for excellent now persons. that is like letting women folk in the NBA. they have a separate league for a reason. i have no challenge with letting gay persons in the Olympics, in simple terms do no longer create an extra Olympic sport for surprising gay persons.
