Cultures & Groups - 25 June 2007

My baby niece is kind of sick and she is still in the hospital. We go to see her every week, and if my mother and i go there on Sundays we attend church in the hospital. (yes, the church in the hospital) I always get so chocked up during mass when i see the injuried/disabled people in their wheel chairs because i know that they are probably hurting. (also because it's so peaceful to be their) We pray for them, and the preist give them hugs and blesses them. it feels so good to be there because they don't judge you and they see you for who you truly are.

are you sensitive like me?

I have been reading alot of answers tonight on Yahoo, and people are just so ignorant.....I'm sure those of you who are answering know who I'm talking about.....Every race is just fighting so hard to be the superior race....Get over yourselves! If you haven't noticed this is 2007, and if you have TIME for hatred in your hearts, you really have issues.......GROW UP!!! No race is better than another, and if you think so, maybe you should just call Dr. Phil.

Why do people hate? I mean...not hating your father your molesting you, or loathing the injustices in the world. I mean why do people have to just HATE gays, different races, etc. It doesn't feel good to hate. It feels good to love! I just don't get it...give me some input, it's interesting to read.
(yes, this was inspired by Reverand Jon's question about homosexuality if you had the chance to read that)

I myself am physically disabled, but doctors don't know if it's permanent or not. I'm just wondering if there's anyone else out their in their teens or early 20s (I'm 22) with a physical disability that might wanna Chat on Yahoo or MSN?

Don't use already existing ones... and as for how cheesy they are? The sky's the limit. It can be names for pop punk girl groups, typical pop girl groups, r&b, hiphop, country, christian... whatever! Post as many as you'd like... I need a lot. (Think mainstream girl groups headed for pop superstardom.) Thanks much!

Many homophobes slam gay marriage because they assert 'the purpose of marriage is for a man and woman to produce offspring-so since couples of the same gender can't reproduce, then gay marriages are invalid'.
I see- so men are supposed to regard women as nothing more than breeding stock. Most straight couples I know marry because they love each other- not because they want to have babies...What about straight couples who can't concieve- or don't want kids. Are their marriages invalid?

I find it especially interesting some of the self appointed experts on family and virtue who slam gay marriages have been married more than once....
Rush limbagh has been married multiple times- what does he know what makes a healthy marriage?

am not talking about forgetting our very flawed human history... If anything we should think about our past and learn from it.

Today majority of the people, are neutral and some others either hate or support gays. Most people who hate gays, they are usually dislike them because of religious reasons, but instead people who like them, think that if they don't like them ,then they are "closed minded" , “sexist” and or a right wing supporter.

Now the Questions are: 1- what kind of logical and scientific data or studies can be produced to show that homosexuality is not natural and is dangerous to people. 2- How we can educate people about the scientific data.

I read an article which had some figures below

The AAFP recently surveyed 2,282 men and women across the country about their health behaviors.
Among the findings:
-- 55% of all men surveyed have not seen their primary care physician for a physical exam within the past year.
-- 42% men have been diagnosed with at least one of the following chronic conditions: high blood pressure, arthritis, cancer or diabetes.
-- Almost one in five men (18%) 55 years and older have never received the recommended screening for colon cancer.
-- More than one out of four men (29%) say they wait "as long as possible" before seeking help when they feel sick or are in pain or are concerned about their health.
-- Despite this, 79% men describe themselves as in "Excellent," "Very Good," or "Good" health.

Question: Which group do you fall in?
I am in group 1 but feel i am in good health.
