It's true that people shouldn't have hatred in their hearts and they should be emotionally healthier than that. Mature, enlightened people aren't out to prove their race is better, however there are also people who are totally ignorant to the differences in people. These people are sometimes hell bent on believing that everyone is the same because it makes them feel virtuous. They are blind to the differences we see in those around us because they want to feel morally superior. People do range greatly in many physical and mental characteristics. Some of these traits can be quantitively measured and compared between different races. There are many differences from one race to another. Only an ignorant person would fail to realize this. There is no scientific understanding to be gained by closing your eyes and ears for the purpose of moral superiority.

An observant answer/question, I like it already! Seriously though, hate comes from two main sources. #1 how a person was raised and taught as a child. #2 A sever lack of good education in social studies and life in general. See, many people forget that this worked has many different cultures and people's on it. Mix that with the fact that a lot of people STILL don't get out much, then you have hate and everything that can go with it. Add in some alcohol and drugs and maybe a weapon or two and a good motivational speaker(hey, what and who do you think Adolf Hitler was?), and you get people fighting and hating other people.I believe that everyone in places that have these problems should have Prozac put into their water supply myself, yet I digress.

What a lovely avatar photo--is that you?
But never mind...the racists of the world tend to congregate and concentrate in small corners of the internet, which can make their numbers seem much larger than they really are. There are many more people to whom race is of little concern, and these people are often too busy with their lives to spend much time pushing their points of view on the Internet. Almost everyone here has some axe to grind.
Mine is peace, and since harmony between the races is one of the first requirements of peace, I advocate for that as well.
Hope your other answers are also encouraging.

WOW
Hello
You couldn't be more right on the ignorance, racism and hatred(prejudiced hostility or animosity). We as humans have a tendencies to hate or not like what we don't understand and as human nature to fear the unknown is the first line of defense of self- preservation. Years and years of this kind of conditioning for centuries the world over and under. It's time to break to the vicious cycle, so let's start today
Let it begin with me...

You are so right Sweetie. People are always looking for a reason to hate each other. We're either the wrong color, the wrong weight or some other stupid something. I always tell the children that I work with at the school that it takes every color together to make a beautiful rainbow.

I keep wondering the same thing. I wish that people would wake up and see that all the hatred doesn't get them anywhere. Hatred begets hatred..Try love for a change.

i agree. some people on here are completely disrespectful and ignorant. they need to stop being so hateful. it may sound corny or some religion thing, but really THERE IS NO POINT in being so rude and disrespectful. they all need to get over themselves and look at the big picture. we are all people and all exactly the same, whether you like it that way or not. get over it and stop being so disrespectful.
