Ever since a few days ago when I received a scare in the family, I have been feeling kind of conservative. No, 'kind of' is too soft - I've been feeling really conservative. I've felt more inclined to eat/cook at home and imagined myself frequently in a heart-shaped lace apron baking cookies. (Probably a lacy heart apron because I read lots of manga. I am not making this up. I swear I do not do drugs.) I always kind of figured we become more conservative when we're threatened or feel unsafe, but this is kind of weird. And I know baking cookies in an apron is more steriotypically feminine than conservative, but bear with me. Can you make me feel more secure so I can stop pretending I'm, um, a 50s houswife?

All I can ever find is their connection with devadasis. I know they often became devadasis at age 3, now I need to know more. I can't even find which of the main castes they were part of, much less their standing in society! Can anyone, maybe someone from India, fill in some details for me?

been mistaken for being of a different heritage? For example, I'm Native American and white but people are always asking me if I am Mexican. It doesn't bother me at all bcuz I just tell them what I really am. But what bothers is me is when people insist that I'm Mexican even though I told them I'm not . They're like , no you're lying, you're really Mexican and I'm just like okay, whatever.

I saw a bumper sticker /magnent today which said "Support God's Troops" At first I thought it rererred to the humanitarian peace keepers--Quakers and Menonites in Iraq. Then I thought maybe Christian Missionaries anywhere in the world. and then I started thinking more broardly--- perhaps some armed paramillitary group or Muslem extremests...Enlighten me.

I just want to know what is the correct thing to call homosexual men? Do you/they want to be called Gay, or Queer? I heard a radio interview that said they want to be called queer. I want to know what it right. I don't like to offend anyone.

All i ever read about is how people claim that pot is bad for you, kills brain cells, gives you cancer and gives you mental problems. But i have smoked for 6 years, and not like every once and a while, alot. Nothing is wrong with me! i smoked all through high school and i graduated with honors(3.9), i got offered full paid scholarships to any school in my state.

But i guess my real question is, what do the people that think that pot is bad for you think of me...im living proof that nothing is wrong with pot.

If people are happy in a same sex relationship then how can someone look at that and decide it's wrong? For someone to look at somebody else and decide that they are disgusting seems quite bizarre. For somebody to even make this judgement surely reflects badly on their personality.

I absolutely hate 'Truth' ads for non-smoking. Smoking a cigarette is a choice that everyone has. *Newsflash* ******* at Truth, we KNOW CIGARETTES are addictive and we still smoke them, lay off you mongoloids. I hate every single theme of every one of their commercials. They try to be 'hip' and 'generation-x' oriented to appeal to kids to deter them from smoking. HOW ABOUT THE PARENTS DO MORE ABOUT IT than these shmucks. F all of them, and everyone who thinks that they are cool.

I hang around with punks. I am the goth girl, always have been. My best friend is a punk, we share alot of makeup, hair and clothes stuff. Our music differs though. Why would one be labled punk and one goth? I know the history of where both come from, just in today's society why would someone lablel someone goth or punk when they both seem to collide and share alot of fashions.
