Ever since a few days ago when I received a scare in the family, I have been feeling kind of conservative. No, 'kind of' is too soft - I've been feeling really conservative. I've felt more inclined to eat/cook at home and imagined myself frequently in a heart-shaped lace apron baking cookies. (Probably a lacy heart apron because I read lots of manga. I am not making this up. I swear I do not do drugs.) I always kind of figured we become more conservative when we're threatened or feel unsafe, but this is kind of weird. And I know baking cookies in an apron is more steriotypically feminine than conservative, but bear with me. Can you make me feel more secure so I can stop pretending I'm, um, a 50s houswife?

P.S. I don't mean 'conservative' to have political tones. I meant is as being indicative of a state of mind that influences behavior.

Things that are considered to be conservative can also just be reminders of childhood, and therefore give a safe and comforting feeling.
Maybe after you where scared you where looking for an old safe and comforting feeling?
Don't beat yourself up for it, if it feels good there is probably a good reason why you do it. Don't worry about it. There is nothing wrong with baking cookies. Enjoy it :-)

No one can make you feel secure. Find the lifestyle that makes you feel good, and live that way. You won't need any prescription drug, and your sense of security will not depend on anyone.
If you feel good while baking cookies, well, I don't see anything bad. Actually, I wish I was around, and could have a taste of them cookies!
