I have been wanting to go on mission trips for a while but i dont have the money to Go, I work full time in a ministry and dont get paid. ( I work for room and board)

World has seen many wars. In the name of religion and God over a hundred thousand wars have been waged. Millions have lost their lives; many have become orphans, diseased and lost their homes. Economic wars, political wars, national wars, nuclear wars, have all been different expressions of brutality.

In spite of all the Peace treaties and efforts by well meaning people, where is the world today? Everybody seems to be talking about global peace but it does not seem to be any where on the horizon.

Who is responsible for this? Is the Government responsible? Is it religion or the politician or the man in power or the anti-social elements? Who is to be blamed?

"When would these wars and conflict end?"

You're talking of the Iraq war, Kargil war and the rest. You don't seem to be talking of the war going on inside you. The day war stops inside you, there will no more be wars in the world. It is this conflict inside you, which is manifesting as external conflict. All the time there is war and conflict going on inside you. You are divided within. You are not an individual. You are a crowd inside. When you say, I am uncomfortable with that person, you are uncomfortable with some aspect of yourself. Suppose you say, I am angry with that person, there is something about you, which you are angry within yourself. When you are restless in a crowd, you're restless inside yourself. What is happening outside is a mere reflection of what is going on inside. The violence in the family is reflecting as the external violence. You must know if something is going on somewhere you are also responsible for it. When you are having a fight with your spouse, teasing or bullying or nagging the person, remember here also you are contributing to war. If in a place, they is a population of hundred people and 80 men are nagging and torturing their women, then very soon a physical conflict would emerge in that place. This only becomes that. Therefore unless and until humanity is transformed, there will be war and conflict outside. There could be a nuclear war or a war with conventional weapons or an economic war or a political war, some or other will be going on. That is why the only hope is the world becoming enlightened and people being peaceful within themselves. If you became enlightened and your mere presence would affect a hundred thousand people. That's how you would be contributing to world peace.

What are some good ways to raise money for a high school baseball team. We normally do a little league tournametn every year and the guy over it got sick this year. What are some good ideas to raise money. We dont start playing untill late feburary. Please help. I know for a fact that selling pizza cards and donuts wont work. I have been seeing my Bf for 4 years and we want to marry, he is not legal in this country I would really appreciate if some one with legal background could help me answer my questions besides get a lawyer, I want to know what are some links or websites I can log into. Who has easy receipies for fund raisers for Volunteer Fire Department, need to feed aprox. 200 people. Funds provide Gloves, Shields, Training, anything needed each month for fire fighters all great men and women our way of saying thank you is to provide a good meal the community will want to come to, we need to have receipies that do not cost a lot to prepare and are easy to serve all ideas would be helpful. Please help all Volunteer Departments near you, they are so easy to ignore till you need them

Hi,
I am planning to spend 10 lacks (25000 USD) on a small rural village development near 100 km from Hyd India.
I am confused on what makes a big difference in this and what makes to bring good life for next generation of that village?
(Employment, Education, Health ...)
PS: any input will be considered seriously.
Current State:
This village is very interior and not a good road (one lane buss route)
High school (10th class) education about 50% goes upto 10th class
No employment opportunities except agriculture
Not many educated people live/ visit this village (I am 1 of them)
Not many of those village roots are into business
Not many people will help the villagers (as villagers are rough & uneducated)
So far:
I setup fund for higher education since (3 years) then most of them are going to college education
Small (school & general books) library
govt doctor visit (2 days a week)
Veterinary clinic (Animal)
Market place once a week (sell cows,veg,cloths,etc)

What makes people donate money to individuals? I'm asking this because I am so sick of charities getting all this money and a good portion of it going towards administration costs. If you have money you want to donate, why the hell don't you just give it to someone who needs it?
