World has seen many wars. In the name of religion and God over a hundred thousand wars have been waged. Millions have lost their lives; many have become orphans, diseased and lost their homes. Economic wars, political wars, national wars, nuclear wars, have all been different expressions of brutality.
In spite of all the Peace treaties and efforts by well meaning people, where is the world today? Everybody seems to be talking about global peace but it does not seem to be any where on the horizon.
Who is responsible for this? Is the Government responsible? Is it religion or the politician or the man in power or the anti-social elements? Who is to be blamed?
"When would these wars and conflict end?"
You're talking of the Iraq war, Kargil war and the rest. You don't seem to be talking of the war going on inside you. The day war stops inside you, there will no more be wars in the world. It is this conflict inside you, which is manifesting as external conflict. All the time there is war and conflict going on inside you. You are divided within. You are not an individual. You are a crowd inside. When you say, I am uncomfortable with that person, you are uncomfortable with some aspect of yourself. Suppose you say, I am angry with that person, there is something about you, which you are angry within yourself. When you are restless in a crowd, you're restless inside yourself. What is happening outside is a mere reflection of what is going on inside. The violence in the family is reflecting as the external violence. You must know if something is going on somewhere you are also responsible for it. When you are having a fight with your spouse, teasing or bullying or nagging the person, remember here also you are contributing to war. If in a place, they is a population of hundred people and 80 men are nagging and torturing their women, then very soon a physical conflict would emerge in that place. This only becomes that. Therefore unless and until humanity is transformed, there will be war and conflict outside. There could be a nuclear war or a war with conventional weapons or an economic war or a political war, some or other will be going on. That is why the only hope is the world becoming enlightened and people being peaceful within themselves. If you became enlightened and your mere presence would affect a hundred thousand people. That's how you would be contributing to world peace.

If one can tell the future, then they can answer this question. One can assume what will take place, but this is based on the unknown such as natural disasters, etc; You can project what you believe will happen, just like the weather man does, but a storm can crop up that will totally change the path of the future. I hope this helps. Good Luck!!!

The question is broad and maybe no succinct answer can be developed at this time. There are too many variables to pinpoint any single solution as the contradictions in human nature will see to that. However (you knew it was coming), we have a modicum of influence on the weather, and the way we're abusing the atmosphere, the so-called greenhouse effect will make life uncomfortable if we keep up the way we're going and doing things. Also the dire threat of nuclear war is a consideration. Those hot farts popping all over the world will send radiation encircling the globe several times over. Human Beings. It is we who have to change for our own survival. If by the end of this century there's less then one-billion people left, it will be our own fault.

For myself, I wonder how I'm going to survive the next five years. I look at people everyday and the way we live just here in the states and it just seems like the wrong people are popping out kids. The educational system doesn't prepare kids for choosing a career. Pig brained people are in high authority. We invaded a country that did not have anything to do with 9/11 and have wasted money that should be used in this country.
I'm sure we will survive but will the picture be a lot uglier than the picture we have today. We need a plaque or something to force us to regress in some ways so the people that survive will form a new moral code which will use technology in a moral way instead of making the almighty dollar and polluting the Earth.

That is a big question! The bible tells us we are at the end of times. Is anyone surprised? This last segment of life as we know it, could be a million year period of time. Maybe more, maybe less. No one really knows Gods measurement of time. Assuming we have 100 years left on this planet, one large nuclear blast would shorten those years. If Yellowstone erupts, a dense cloud of volcanic ash would block out the sun completely throwing the planet into total darkness, void of vegetatation and any warmth. This eruption might happen today. If the avian flu learns to jump from birds to human to human, a hundred million people could perish from the face of this planet in less than one year. This virus could mutate today. The radio active pilings left at the colorado river back in 1970"s continues to pollute the river today. Global warming has progressed to a point where Alaskan shellfish is affected by the warmer ocean temperature causing bacteria growth and disease in the shellfish. Pollution that began years ago will take much effort and decades of time to reverse effects of such actions. There are just SO many issues that contributes to world peace, and to the lack of world peace. No man is an island. I have learned that one person CANNOT change the world. EVERYBODY on this planet has to be an active participant. And weve got Bush in office......slim chance well EVER get out of Iraq.

War will never end. It has always been and always will, no question there. The next hundred years, we will survive that almost certainly unless we get hit by an asteroid large enough. No war or disease can bring us totally down in such short time. In the long run though, i think humans can not survive. It would mean such a turnover in our very basic behavior that it is unlikely to happen. Maybe if we can spread to space and evolution has given ample time, then perhaps. Making war is very deep in our heritage, so the odds will not be good no matter what course we take.

If only people would just read the Bible. They will find questions about why the world is in such turmult. Read 2 Timothy 3:1-5 about people's attitudes in these last days. As to world peace, man will not be able to achieve this on their own. It is only through God's Kingdom will this true peace & security come about. If there is no divine intervention within the next hundred years, I see mans world in total ruin, I believe our leaders today have lost their ability to govern our countries with compassion, logic , and common sense, their insatiable greed for power, money, and control will be our demise. When you look at the total population on this planet and the demands that come from all these people, it will take something cataclysmic to make any change in our world. We can march, protest, blame, and scream, and it will all be in vain. All common people will have to come together if they want real change in our societies, and I do not foresee that happening soon.

You've answered your question alright but i'll these - ITS when everyone would learn to apply the two greatest command - Love for God and Love for neighbor.
A self sacrificing love for neighbor would make any person put others interests ahead of theirs and love for God would move everyone to make the first move in doing what is right

The human race will survive. We can learn from our mistakes and the mistakes of others. I, personally, will not survive the next 100 years, but my family will, and my students will. The human race will survive!
