I got a new membership yesterday and I went into the stand up booth to tan and I asked for glasses she said I didn't need them? Isn't that bad for you or do they have new bulbs that don't hurt your eyes?

I remember "growing some" while dancing (slow) with some ladies as I matured and even at later times when I chose not to exercise control ( it feels good and sends an unspoken message).
What I'm concerned with , is the High School dances, when there was NO control.
What were your thoughts as you rubbed up against his "excitement"?

I went to Outback Steakhouse yesterday for the first time ever. Apparently the people I went with go there a lot.

The waitress came over to our table and said, "I'm sure you've all been here before." And no one believed me when I said I hadn't! They looked at me as if I had a 2nd head.

Surely there must be more of us out there!

Thesis: People should be concerned about the advertising their children are exposed to for three reasons: some advertising creates materialistic, illegal, and health behaviors.

Can anyone please give me supporting point for health behaviors?? or for the other reasons.

I thought I would use this as my soap box to kind of let it be known to other races that not ALL white people are racist. I'm sorry that there are white racists out there, but I don't want you guys to hate all of us just because of these dumbasses. I grew up in a black neighborhood and my best friend is black. I want you guys to know that we aren't all hateful. I guess what brings this out is the new developments on the 1964 murder case in Mississippi, which is where I'm from. I know we're seen as backwards and racists, but trust me, we're not all like that. It seems no matter what we do, though, idiots, black and white, tend to make us seem horrible. I could say the same for the world. Most of the world sees Americans as self-centered and domineering. I wonder if the countries that we help think that way. I'm ranting, I know, I'm also pregnant and moody. Just wanted to say my piece for the month. I am American, white and I am proud of that. Thanks for listening.

One of our landlords (two brothers in a partnership) hired a plumber to fix a backed up drain from roots. The plumber had my phone number so he could set up the appointment.

The plumber called and said that after repeated attempts to contact our landlord for payment, he has not returned his calls. Should I give him his P.O. box or the phone number of the other brother to contact for payment? Is it the plumber's responsability to have gotten more info. before doing the work or ?

Don't you hate it when you're in a shop or somewhere then someone (assistant) comes up to you and asks loudly:

"Are you alriiiiiiiiiight?"

as if there's somthing wrong with you? Who exactly is that supposed to generate a sale?

Sorry girls, I find it especially annoying when a girl says this to me as they put extra effort into the Alriiiiiiiight bit!

Why not just ask "Are you looking for something in particular? Or Can I help you?" etc

Does faith lead to evidence? Does it drive us to seek out answers?

Science is derived from observations but what drives us to experiment to prove our observations correct? Do we have faith in our observations and theories?

Sure we may be wrong about some things but that doesn't change our faith in science does it?

- I'm talking about faith in generic terms, not religious terms... Seems like when you use faith everyone gets their panties in a bunch in here...

Last night I had a dream that I was standing in a field and the sky opened up. When I looked up I could see a cloud with angles or Jesus standing on it. The cloud started decending to earth, I woke up terrified after that. Has anyone ever had a similar dream?
