Last time I said "Christians only please!" Most of my answers were from bashers instead. Have a little respect. You bashers have 10,000 other questions you can answer on this site. Don't be rude and disrespectful by answering please.

Christians - First of all, do you believe the gift of tongues practiced in the pentacostal churches today is the same gift of tongues spoken of in Acts?

Secondly - Does anyone believe it isn't real or it isn't from God?

...from someone who REALLY knows. In other words, if a muslim scholar would put the rumors to rest, I'd appreciate it. The main rumor I heard is that Muhammed married her when she was six years old, and had sex with her by the time she was eight... Right? Wrong? Set us straight, please.

The kid that was abducted for 4 years that was found along with the other boy---his parents were on the Montel Williams show in 2003 with Sylvia Brown. I just saw a clip of this last night. They ask her about him and she told them that he had been abducted by a dark skinned person with dreadlocks in his hair and that he was not alive and that his body would be found by two large boulders. So, in 2007 he's found alive. Where could she have gone wrong? Is she for real or did her spirits lie to her or was she just having a bad day? Montel Williams had no comment for the news organization doing the story. Your opinion?

Just idle fun reflections on what is making news in Yahoo Headline News today: Yes... good food for thought while my vacation lasts overseas.

Ares: God of war
Hermes: God of athletics, shepherds, inventor of fire,
Zeus: the big man on the Olympian campus still commands
Apollo: God of the sun, art, and medicine, among others,
Athena: Goddess of wisdom. Her Dad is Zeus,
Aphrodite: Beauty, love, lust, and sex are her domains.
Poseidon: God of the sea.
Hades: God of the underworld
Artemis: Goddess of the hunt.
Hera: Goddess of marriage and birth and jealous wife of Zeus
Hephaestus: God of fire and forge. A tough guy, but got beat out in popularity by his Olympian colleagues.
Hestia: Lesser known goddess of the hearth.
***

My pick:

Ares - USA
Hermes-China
Zeus - USA
Apollo - Germany
Athena - England
Aphrodite - Brazil
Poseidon - Australia
Hades - Israel
Artemis - Nigeria
Hera - Russia
Hephaestus - Mexico
Hestia - Sweden

Your take?

Over the years the Christians "unchaning" deity has changed a lot. I guess the excuse is that now they "better" understand the message. When evolution was discovered christianity adapted to incorporate theories of evolution.

Now that it is being observed that Earth is not unique, as far as topograpical features, will the God theory adapt to say that God created many Earthlike planets but only one with life?

The 4th commandment states:

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath day of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work; you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Did Jesus keep the Sabbath as a part of God's law?
Luke 4:16:

"And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read."

If we are not to worship and honor the Lord on the sabbath then what does this commandment mean?

Do people really say these stuff in these circumstances:

1) "I gotta go." When hanging up the phone (and when there's a problem), but not explaining *why* they have to hang up or *what* the problem is exactly.
2) "It's gonna be okay/Everything's gonna be alright." When someone's panicking or when everything's *not* alright.
3) "I can explain." When someone's misunderstood what they have done, instead of just explaining outright.

...Or are they just TV language, invented to make us tear our hairs out in frustration due to sheer cheesi- and corniness? I think's it's silly, and I don't believe people really say these stuff... Do they?

Forget taxes, offsetting and voluntary sacrifices, the only way to meet the necessary cuts in carbon emissions is by allocating everyone and equal share that they are allowed to produce.

It’s quite simple. We set a national limit, to be gradually reduced over time, divide it by the population and bingo: your individual carbon allowance. People who want to travel by plain or leave their heating on max all autumn can buy any excess carbon rations from those sustainable enough (or to poor to burn lots of fuel) and have some left over.

The question is, in this current climate of ‘no such thing as society’ and individualistic self righteousness, is their enough demand for a system that would so restrict out lives?

Would you vote for carbon rationing?

If not, what would it take to convince you?

I am trying to help my dtr find her bio father. His name is Robert Cooper. He has 2 brothers (Ronnie/Kem) He has 2 sons Robbie and Brandon. He lived in Coral Gables, Fla when she was concieved. His brother Kem (wife Michelle and dtrs Amber/Christian) lived in Enterprise, Alabama. His parents lived in the Baltimore, Maryland area. He is black. 6'1". 180 lbs. Very good looking and a smooth talker. Brianna (my dtr) is 15 yrs old. We want nothing (money wise or anything). She feels incomplete and wants to meet him soooo bad. We are very happy and she is something to be very proud of. Again do not be afraid that we are seeking anything other than just wanting to meet him. I have gone to sites and tried contacting people I thought might be him or a relative and have come short. It just hurts knowing that all she wants to do is meet him and feel complete. She is a great child. Honor student/ active in theater arts/ and she looks sooo much like him, he will cry if he sees her
