No as a Christian and according to the word of God (the Bible) I would say that the most important thing for us to do is to Go - Ye and preach the Good news of Jesus Christ the risen savior of the world. That he was born of a virgin, that he lived as a man, and that he died for all men to be able to be forgiven, And that he raised on the third day with Victory over the enemy satan with the Keys of Life and death in his hands. No where can I find that in the bible that to enjoy life is important. But all through the Bible I can find the Lord Jesus saying be joyful in the test and trials with persecution that we as Christians will endure.

As a Humanist, I believe the shortness and fragile nature of life behoove us to cherish the time we have and make the best use of it as possible. Even though secularists are often condemned as materialists and hedonists by our religious neighbors, most of us wouldn't consider the mere collecting of material possessions and non-stop partying to be "making the best use of life." Not that there's anything wrong with being comfortable and having a good time, but most would agree that they alone don't make for a very fulfilling life. It's also important to try to find a career that is fulfilling and that helps us take care of our families, spend quality time with loved ones, get a good education and put that schooling to work helping to improve our communities, and get involved with organizations and movements that work toward leaving the world a better place than we found it for our children.

To secularists like myself, this world is what matters. Our mortal existence is not a dress rehearsal for something else to come. This is our time.

"The best use of life is to spend it for something that outlasts life." ~ William James

It is important to enjoy life itself but not the most important, what is most important is to put god first before everything else and how many people do you know can do that.

Although God would have us enjoy this wonderful life He has given us, it is not the most important thing. The most important thing is to grow in our relationship with God.

I believe the most important thing is for us to help others enjoy their lives. If they are unhappy, then we should be there for them to talk to. If they have a problem, then we should help in whatever way we can.

Compassion for other humans is our highest calling. All of the world's major faiths hold this to be truth.

If you are not a Christian you shouldn't?

One of the most important things... or part of the big picture, yeah.

No and yes, in part.

Yes....
Because Jesus did say that He came that we would have life, and live it more abundantly.

BUT.....

NO. I disagree. Enjoying our life is not our FOCUS as Christians. Jesus said it himself, that all who name the Name of Christ Jesus will partake of His sufferings too. OUR GOAL is to fulfill, or take up our own cross, and fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

Look at the vast history of martyrdom for the sake of Christ; for all who would not denounce HIM, for all those who live in countries where Christianity is illegal. Look at the New Testament, and understand----we live not "just" to get happy, we live IN Christ, we live to spread the Good News.
Enjoying life is only a perk. In HIM, we have our peace and joy, no matter our circumstance, we can find rest in HIM. <>< God Bless and be well <><

Yes and no. It's important to enjoy your life, but it's also important to allow (or even help) others to enjoy theirs.

sorry you have that wrong - if you are a Christian the most important thing is to bring God's Will into the world - how enjoyable to you think Paul's life was - he was persecuted, beaten, starved, shipwrecked and plenty of other things but he did God's Will and that is what kept him going - not enjoying life

That is heresy. The most important thing for Christians is to glorify God
