I was curious about something. I've noticed this, and am A bit concerned. I see a lot where some black people can call eachother the "N" word, and it's cool. However, white people say something like "What's up my "N", and some black people become extremely offended. Lots of the people who become offended are always like , Well, I just want us all to be equal. However, if they want to be equal, why is it that they don't mind other black people doing it, but they do mind us doing it? That doesn't sound very equal to me. Sounds a bit hypocritical? Anyone have anything on this?

Who do you like better and why? I use to be a huge NIN fan...still am but I find myself liking The Cure more because they are a little more mellow and their sound is so diverse. They aren't as angry either.

Here I'll explain why & where I got that date from. It was on the discovery channel recently, however Reverend Finniss Dake made that claim in 1949..
Dec 25 is pagan which by now most of us have figured out.
the Magi sheep herders would have been herding in the spring, They most certianlty didnt walk allllllll the way from Syria into Jordan in 1 night (unless they borrowed santys sliegh). They arrived in Oct which would have been during the Festival Of Nisan which is why there was no room at the inn. The Star they saw earlier was the planet Jupiter Chopping off the Head of the Constillation Of the Ram (which would have been a very interesting sign in the Heavens to The Astrologer Maji in the Fields During the Time of King Herod. That bing said that would make today Dec 29 2111 and acording to the Myan Calander were all in deep doo doo in 3 days..........My question
Is that intresting????

I'm not a Christian myself, but I'm someone who's very interested in the Bible.

The Old Testament is a good read, but it doesn't seem very holy, never mind the Word of God. But then I read the New Testament, and it's absolutely bang-on - Jesus seems to hit the nail on the head constantly, and he seems intent on overturning and replacing a lot of the previous OT teachings. He refers to the strict followers of these teachings very directly as hypocrites, whited sepulchres etc. And he preaches a new religion of compassion : "Turn the other cheek", "Let he among you who is without sin cast the first stone." (never fails to move me, that one - genius).

Now I can see the point in including the OT to give background to Jesus' place in history. But then some Christians seem to follow THAT teaching, instead of the teaching that Jesus put forward to replace it.

I was wondering how modern-day Christians look at the OT, as so often it seems to run completely opposite to the teachings of Christ.

I was looking at the threads the ther day. I noticed someone asked why black women have such bad attitudes. Yesterday I asked my friend (who is black) what he thought about that question that I saw on here.
Surprisingly enough, he got upset about it. I don't like when people get upset about stuff like that. I am a pretty free minded guy, and I always like a good white joke, if you have one. SO< my question is, whats the problem?

I know this is kinda silly after posting the last question, but I want to see how others view this as I really have never gotten feedback from anyone else on their opinions of tight jeans, soft jackets (like velvety material), etc. on guys. I am bi, and I wear the above types of clothes, because it makes me feel good and more true to myself when I do; however, I am not transsexual. Am I overdoing it and pushing the gay image too much even if I only wear the clothes to make me feel better about myself or...(insert opinion here)? I know I'm insecure lol, so please no insults, if you want to criticize, please do so constructively and not gay-bashing. Thanks for your responses!

The invention of the cell phone definitely has it's advantages, but some people abuse it's convenience. Cell phones going off in movie theaters, during tests, at funerals, etc... Then there are the people that use it like a leash. They give significant others cell phones, and constantly want to know what the other person is doing. Since they know the other person has a cell phone on them, it's impossible to ignore their calls without them becoming offended. That's why I refuse to carry one anymore. Even though it could come in very handy in an emergency, it's worth gambling my life not to put up with the hassle from inconsiderate callers. If they ever found out that I had a cell phone, they would want the number. Everyone wanted to be an exception to the rule that I don't give my cell phone number out to anybody. Is your opinion of cell phones similar to mine ?

The "Big Bang" leaves one w/ a few questions.
If an explosion occurs, don't we need to know why --and from what material did it originate, and how did that material come into existance?
I am an atheist; and since the discussion of the origin of life and matter is not the exclusive territory of religion, please don't offer religious answers.
