Why is there an egyptian pyramid on the back of the dollar bill?

I don't get what it's there for...it's not like there were ever pyramids in America. lol. Do you know why it is there?

Compare to the "Kinder Care" logo.

Also, there ARE Pyramids in America. Aside from the one in Vegas, there are also many in Central and South America.
